Easy install, looks great and well made , sturdy. A couple of minor concerns, the jerry can that I purchased only fits at an angle and opening the door will rub against the tray so you need to be careful. Otherwise a great product!

This is a very well-built product, I like that I can remove the carrier trays when I don’t need them. I have one mounted on each side of my jeep, one for water and one for extra fuel.

Price from e-trailer was 2/3 what everyone else wanted. Shipping was prompt. The mount itself takes back about two inches of clearance, so I’m not sure if I’ll continue using it, but us well made and easy to install.

I get a lot of compliments from everyone who notices the two , 5 gallon tanks stored on each side of my Rubicon hybrid. They usually say they’ve never seen gas cans stored on the side of the jeep, It’s usually in the very back.. My jeep is green with the light blue accent that hybrid vehicles typically have… So I had pinstripes in that same color on the black cans, which makes the whole vehicle pop. These are quality built and rugged storage units that bow to the Jeep easily, and would recommend them for anyone going out quite a distance and would need to have the extra gas.

It has been one year since I had the spare gas brackets installed on the Jeep. Everything is working out great no regrets at all. It’s a great product and would recommend it… These are nice looking and very practical..

This thing is beautiful. The mount is heavy steel plate with another heavy steel backing plate with a 1" solid steel bar welded front and back. The weld beads are excellent. The extra backing plate doesn't extend out to the bolt holes so I shimmed the bolts by stacking washers, 4 standard 1/2 inch washers on each bolt leveled it out perfectly. I added spring keepers to the bolts to make sure it doesn't fall off and break my foot when I need to dismount the spare. The frame that holds the pan mounts to the bar with a 1/2" grade 5 bolt, washer and lockwasher. The channel of the frame is so tight to the bar that I had to tap it on with a mallet the first time. Once it's bolted down there is no wiggle at all. It came with mismatched bolts and nuts to mount the pan. I emailed after hours and when I logged on the next morning had a response offering to send me another hardware pack, so I'd say cs is first rate. Attaching a pic of the mount and a completion pick with my 10l fuel can.

I ordered this Jerry can holder to get the spare gas can (and smell) out of the Jeep. It worked great and was easy to install. It's easy to adjust and sturdy on the trail. It's mounted on the spare (33") and does not obstruct the view from the rear view mirror. I would recommend this product.

The only negative thing I can say about this after a year of use is that there is no padding on the rear vertical surface that is in contact with the jerry can. This is rubbing the can and wearing off the paint which I imagine will start to rust. I added some self adhesive rubber and it helped.

Took a long time for them to get it in stock. Shipped right away once it was in stock. Bolted right up as it should. Holds a fuel or water can very securely.

I added a ubolt and security cable. The holes for a ubolt are predrilled.

Decent product strap holes are small making strap removal difficult. Rubber vibration stop always falls outwhen inserting Jerry can. Drain holes need drilled out bigger. Not an issue unless you use cans Alot like I do.I modified the above issues for heavy every few days use.

Ok but Im going to change the straps out for a different kind they get hung where metal clasp hooks into them pretty consistent. Drilling bigger drain holes helped and padding back of strap rachet to stop rattling

2001 jeep Wrangler

This suits our purpose perfectly to extend our range in a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport and provide a little piece of mind with an extra 5 gal Jerry can. We use it in "the Maze" and in the other wilds of Utah. The tray is easily removed/reinstalled with the lug wrench.

Will MORryde Jerry Can Mount Also Fit 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver
Hi Brad; thanks for pointing this out. I reached out to MORryde and can confirm that the # MR69MR will fit a 2" receiver. I'm not sure where that other information came from saying it wouldn't fit any receiver size, but the part that holds the jerry can has a 2" shank so it is wrong. I went ahead and removed the other answer, sorry for the confusion.

Will I Need to Remove My Nerf Bars to Install the MORryde Jerry Can Mount on My 1994 Jeep YJ?
Hello Randy, That is a pretty sweet Jeep you have! What color is it? It will depend on how long your nerf bars are. The MORryde Jerry Can Mount for Jeep Wrangler TJ and YJ - Driver or Passenger Side # MR69MR installs pretty close to the front wheel well. I attached an image of how it looks when it is installed, and also where it attaches under the car, you will have to go out and see if it will work.

Can MORryde Jerry Can Mount be Mounted to OEM Hitch Receiver on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee
As long as you have at least 6" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole for the OEM hitch to the rearmost part of your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee you can definitely use the MORryde Jerry Can Mount # MR69MR for your 2" hitch receiver. I've attached a photo to demonstrate this clearance.

I went ahead and confirmed with MORryde that the plastic trim piece shown in your provided photo is the standard trim molding on your 2006 Jeep X Model. With the Fender Mounted Jerry Can Holder for Jeep Wrangler TJ and YJ # MR69MR, you won't have a problem with installing the Jerry Can Holder with the plastic rim piece left on your vehicle.

I reached out to my contact at Morryde to verify, and yes the Fender Mounted Jerry Can Holder for Jeep Wrangler TJ and YJ - 5 Gallon - Tall Tray # MR69MR can be used on a standard 2" receiver like you have on your Jeep. Keep in mind, there is only 6" clearance from the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier, so make sure you have no more than 6" from your hitch pin hole to your rear bumper or rear spare tire if you have one.

Yes you could use just the carrier and shank of the Fender Mounted Jerry Can Holder for Jeep Wrangler TJ and YJ # MR69MR in the hitch of your 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited if you wanted to. This comes with basically a hitch that attaches to the frame but you wouldn't have to use it.

The MORryde Jerry Can Mount for Jeep Wrangler TJ and YJ # MR69MR has a 2" shank so it will fit perfectly with either the Wilco Offroad Hitchswing or the Saris Swing Away Hitch Extender # SAR36VR. I recommend the Saris over the Wilco simply because it has a few extra connection points so you have more peace of mind about the swing-arm being secure while you're driving around.
