Does the Plastic Molding Piece Have to Be Removed to Install the Jerry Can Holder?

Question:
Hi, i have a 2006 jeep x model, which i am told is the same as a tj. I am interested in the mr69mr jerry can holder, however my jeep has a plastic trim piece along lower body where mount would be, does that have to be removed for installation?

I went ahead and confirmed with MORryde that the plastic trim piece shown in your provided photo is the standard trim molding on your 2006 Jeep X Model. With the Fender Mounted Jerry Can Holder for Jeep Wrangler TJ and YJ # MR69MR, you won't have a problem with installing the Jerry Can Holder with the plastic rim piece left on your vehicle.
