Today we're going to be taking a look at the University of Wisconsin 2" Hitch Cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to show your school pride. It's going to add a clean finish look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover's made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powdercoat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here on the front we're going to have a chrome-plated metal emblem. It's going to feature a really nice rust-proof and fade-proof design.
The product is American-made. Here on the backside going around the area that slides into the hitch it's got a nice foam gasket. That's really going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. To get it fully installed, it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately, but if you are in need of one you can find them right here at etrailer.com.
The pinholes on the hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. If you take a measurement of the hitchcover face, it's going to give us an overall width of about 5" with an overall height of about 3 1/2". The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole is going to measure pretty close to 2 1/2 inches. Now, this is designed for a 2" x 2" hitch. Very simple installation process. Just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pinholes and then secure it with a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the University of Wisconsin's 2" Hitch Cover from AMG..
