the opening in my hitch is 1 3/4 . does a Wisconsin badger hitch 2 inch cover able to be used

The University of Wisconsin Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover, part # AMG102646, you referenced is designed to fit 2 inch receiver openings.

You may want to check the measurement of your trailer hitch again to make sure it is not a 2 inch receiver opening. some of these hitch receiver covers fit pretty tight in a 2 inch receiver opening and 1-3/4 will not be able to accommodate a 2 inch cover.

If you know what your vehicle is and what trailer hitch you have on your vehicle I can check to see if it is a 2 inch receiver or possibly a 1-1/4 inch receiver. We do not offer any hitch covers for a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, but I may have a solution.

You can use a hitch adapter like part # HTAD. This would insert into a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and give you a 2 inch opening that the # AMG102646 can be used with. Using an adapter like this does reduce the towing capacity of the hitch by 50 percent.
