Question:

I have a dealer installed class 1tow hitch on my new 2017 Acura RDX. Wanted a 3 bike rack as we might occasionally have a grandchild with us but everything I look at says we can only carry 2 bikes on a class 1 hitch. Am I missing something? Can you help? Thanks.

I can help, but since you have a Class I hitch you can only carry up to 2 bikes with that setup. What you would need is a Class III hitch installed on your 2017 Acura RDX. For that you would want to remove the dealer hitch and then install the Draw Tite part # 75784. With this hitch you could easily carry a 3 bike rack.

I really like the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 3 Bikes, part # KU24FR. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load/unload bikes on since it's a platform rack with U-shaped design that allows you to get closer to the wheel trays where you will set the bike's tires. This rack also only touches bikes at the tire so it protects any damage to delicate frame materials or finishes.

I have a 2017 Acura RDX. I need a two bicycle ?? rack. What are some good options?

I do like the Saris SuperClamp # SA4025F that Jameson mentioned above a lot. Another really good option that would work well on your Acura is the Kuat Transfer 2 # TS02G, which comes in at a friendlier price while still offering that premium wheel mount design. If you were hoping for a trunk-mount rack, the Yakima HangOut 2 # Y02637 will work well.
