Is There a 2" Hitch for a 2017 Honda Accord Touring V6 Sedan

Updated 08/03/2026 | Published 07/28/2026

Question:

Hi I’ve got a 2017 Honda accord sedan touring V6. I’ve located the receiver hitch on your site, but it’s 1 1/4. I have a 2 inch bike rack that I used on a previous receiver I bought from eTrailer. Is there a 2 inch for my 2017 accord? How do I make this work? Thank you.

Hey Corey!

The only receiver available for your 2017 Honda Accord Touring V6 is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11681. In order to use your 2" bike rack with your Accord, you will need to use a hitch expander like the TowSmart Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # TS52FR. This will allow your 1-1/4" hitch to accept 2" accessories, but it does have some limitations. When using a hitch expander, your hitch will lose 50% of its capacity, so your # C11681 will go from accepting 200 lbs of tongue weight to only accepting 100 lbs. If you have e-bikes, you would not be able to tow multiple bikes with this adapter on your Accord.

What kind of bike rack do you have? I wasn't able to find you under your email or name, but depending on the model of rack you have, you may be able to change out the shank on your bike rack and keep your rack's full capacity.
