Hey, how's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com. I hope you guys are doing okay, I'm doing all right. Thanks for asking. And today, we're gonna check out the BulletProof Hitches 2.5-inch to two-inch reducer sleeve for your receiver hitch. So a device like this is gonna come in handy if you have a 2.5-inch hitch on the back of your vehicle and you need to drop down to a lower size. So let's take a closer look and see what it does for us.
On our ball mount here, you can see this is a two-inch shank and it's way too small for our 2.5-inch receiver. Adding in our two-inch receiver, it's gonna adapt your 2.5-inch receiver to a two-inch shank. Now, you can add your two-inch accessories. Alright, as far as the inside of our component here, you can see that this guy's powder-coated all the way around. And one thing that BulletProof hitches is known for is this textured powder coat.
And not only that, underneath, there is actually a metal treatment to keep corrosion from happening 'cause what generally happens with parts like this, 'cause it lives a rough life on the inside of a receiver, this guy's gonna start getting little nicks and scratches. And then ultimately, you're gonna get surface rust like this. And that's the metal treatment underneath is what's gonna allow it to hold up and not flake off and break off. You'll also take notice at a different position of the holes here and that's gonna allow you to get a different measurement as far as where you are within your receiver so you can get a little bit closer or farther away. This guy will also work with your 5/8 diameter locks and pins and it wouldn't be a bad idea to use an additional anti-rattle device.
Overall, when it comes to stuff like this, when I talk to our neighbors, basically, what I suggest is going with something that's gonna have the best quality materials to give you the longest life. And BulletProof Hitches has a great reputation of just that. So this is gonna work for your 2.5-inch to drop you down to that two-inch receiver so you can have just that much more utility out of your vehicle. So this has just been a quick look at the BulletProof Hitches 2.5-inch to two-inch reducer. Put my hands on it, feels nice and sturdy, and I feel pretty confident that it'll serve you just fine.
So again, this is Ed with etrailer.com, and I hope you're still doing all right.
