Today we're going to take a look at the Air Lift tubing cutter, part number AL10530. Our tubing cutter is designed to cut the air lines for tubing from a 1/4 inch up to 1/2 inch in size. Our tubing cutter will allow us to get a clean square cut on the line without crimping or distorting it. As you can see the razor blade portion of our cutter is about 7/8 of an inch wide, this gives us up to and just a little over 1/2 of cutting surface making it easy to cut the 1/4 inch air line making sure we get a clean square cut on the line. Unlike the previous cut, not only is it not straight or square to the line, but it also crimped it, distorting it. By using the tubing cutter it allows us to get a clean square cut on the line without distorting it.
While it's perfect for that 1/4 inch air line, it'll also work up to a 1/2 inch hose. A little more effort it'll cut right right through it. The hose cutter works well as long as you carefully keep the hose down into the notch.

I first purchased the Air Lift LoadLifter in an attempt to help reduce trailer sway and handling of my truck when towing my travel trailer. The far exceeded my expectations. Having the ability to get both my truck and my trailer completely level has made an enormous difference in towing. These air bags are not designed to reduce trailer sway, but being able to tow with everything level and having anti-sway mechanism is the perfect pair. I only wished I had found them earlier and there would be been several less "white knuckle" driving experiences.
Worked great with nice straight clean cut, more critical though no deformation of shape so you get a tight seal.
The Firestone airbags were very easy to install. The only place that I scratched my head was for the torque values for the various hardware. I eventually located it at the end of the instructions. It is common in the better auto repair manuals to list the torque ratings in the drawings. Just an idea.
Since I'm somewhat OCD when it comes to mechanical work, I always have a torque wrench in hand for the final tightening.

This onboRd compressor works great! I haul a variety of items and tow a camper and horse trailer. Combining this with rear axel air bags makes it easy to level and provide stability
Works great. The air line that came with the ride rite kit had obviously been cut with something that damaged the ends as they were not round so had to trim them up also.
Worked well for Air Lift air ride helper spring installation.

Honestly its way overpriced, but it is perfect for cutting the air hoses without deforming the hose.
Haven’t tried it yet because you shipped air bags for gmc 3500 instead of ford f350 even though I ordered the correct one

It looks like it will work well for getting a square cut on the tubing, but haven't had the time to use it yet.
Product works as advertised. Product alleviates the need for separate lines to the back of truck. Hreatdesign and awesome product.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again!

I didnt realize the airlift kit I ordered came with stainless steel hoses, so I did not need to use the cutter.
it works but way over priced

I agree Dean! I recommend one of these every time someone asks about a compressor system. I've heard a lot of leaks are caused by using a knife on the air line, because it doesn't give it a nice square cut. Its definitely a much safer option, too!
