Bought 2 of these for my 2 trailers. One trailer has a 2" span, and the other a 3/4" span. I towed with this in place on my flatbed (the 3/4" span) hauling a Euro station wagon the other day. When I got back, I noticed the thing was bent. At least it didn't break, so it's got some flex to it. Guess I need to leave some wiggle room, and not slide the lock as tightly as possible. Not a huge deal - it's still useable, just slightly curved now. More noticeable in person than in the pic:
Looks a good quality trailer coupler pin lock. I also purchased hitch balls with these locks and cut the shank off to build my own trailer coupler lock for cheaper than a purpose built coupler lock. The modified hitch balls plus this coupler pin lock makes my trailers secure in my yard as well as anywhere we go. Trailers can't be easily towed away if there is already a hitch ball locked in the coupler. And by buying enough keyed-alike coupler pin locks, one key fits all trailers unlike previous setups I tried where each coupler lock had its own key.
etrailer did fine, I'm just dissapointed that I can't get this keyed the same as my other 20 locks.
Seems to be well-made, and fits a variety of couplers as advertised. I like it so well I bought two more.

All three still working well. No rust or corrosion from being outside.
Works as it should
Product was delivered on time. It was the product I ordered and it functioned properly. The problem I have with this product is that it was to replace an identical lock. I opened the package and installed the lock onto the trailer coupler. To my surprise, my old key unlocked the new coupler latch lock. It is a bit concerning that there are so few keys combinations that I just happened to get a lock that I already had a key to. If I can have a key by luck, the pro thief likely has it as well so he or she can easily steal my trailer. I ask, what is the point in using a lock that has only a handful of different keys? No Bueno!!!!!!!!!!

You mentioned that the old key that you had was able to be used on the new lock. I reached to our product design team and have found the locks do have approximately 50 key combinations. It was a coincidence that you happened to receive a lock that worked with the old key. We do have locks available that can be keyed to your vehicle, depending on what you have.

Great product. I have had this lock for some time and lost the pin. It was keyed the same same as all my locks from Etailer and the awsum folks at Etailer were able make sure this replacement had matching keys as well. One key for 4 different locks on my trailers , yes makes life easier.

This is a great lock. I have had a couple of them for over a year now and they are still functioning and looking perfect. I use a little lock lube once a month and they work as well as day one. And being able to key different locks to the same key is extremely handy.
I wish it to be a bit tighter to the hitch. It works fine otherwise. The gap makes me nervous to a possible removal by a thief. I do have 3 other deterrents that will slow them down. So,I worry too much.

Great being able to have se key for multiple coupler locks and locking hitch pins
I bought this as a multi package with receiver locks all keyed alike. Glory be I don't have to fumble through countless keys trying to find the right one anymore! I used to avoid using locks if it was a short trip or just around the property, now it's always locked.
A good lock design, not enough adjustments for width. In my application, Sleeve Lock A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5196H-B, it fit too loose and would have left the weak shaft exposed and easily cut by a thief. I chamfered the holes on both sides of the sleeve lock coupler to allow it to fully close.
I haven't had a chance to use the pin yet, but it looks like it's very well built. The adjustment is easy for the different width hitches, very happy so far! What I want to comment on the most is the great customer service that etrailer has provided. All my transactions have so good, even when I ordered the wrong part there was no issues canceling my order and helping order the correct one! Very pleased with etrailer on all my purchases!
Still working great after several months. no rust, key inserts and this has been used for a winter as well so it is has seen a lot. Even the rubber cover is still intact

It was great to be able to easily find and order a replacement part for my trailer lock. I was worried I'd need to replace the entire device, but etrailer already had me covered. Reasonable price and quick service- couldn't be happier!
Recognize that most locks only deter the opportunity thief, but feel better knowing the clip attachment that came with our new utility trailer has been replaced by this locking version. Looks solid; fits well & we hope to have years of use instead of our trailer being ripped off in a home improvement store's parking lot as recently happened in our area.

It is working just fine. I use it on a climbing tree stand to lock it on the tree to prevent theft.

Still working, although being out in the elements made the lock very difficult to work. Ive been loading it up with either white lithium grease or silicone spray to keep things moving. Thats been working out. This is definitely not going to stop a thief, but itll slow them down, especially if you have other anti-theft devices on the trailer. Since I havent been sliding the lock on as tightly as I did the first time I used it, no more issues with bending the pin. That rubber seal doesnt do much, so keep it greased and it should last, especially if it sees road salt - in that case youll want to lube it often.
