Question:
Im looking to lock my pintle latch. Right now I have a factory spring latch clevis retaining the release latch on the pintle. I have a C48231 curt pintle. Im trying to find a 1/4 lock that only needs to be 1 7/8 ID minimum latched. Thats my question Please advise. I have seen a couple different 1/4 dia locks, but nothing shorter than 2 1/2. Almost perfect Gap to put a couple claw hammers in to attempt.. breaking it. Looking for a 1/4 lock, 2 long, latched.

After looking through all of the 1/4" locking pins we carry, I believe the etrailer Adjustable Trailer Coupler Latch Lock # e98883 will be the best option for locking your Curt Pintle Hook # C48231. The span is adjustable to 1/2", 1", 1-1/2", 2", or 2-1/2". The 2" span will be as close as we can get to 1-7/8". That will be your best bet for a lock that will be more flush up against the side of the pintle hook.
