Is the Spare Tire Support Bracket Removed For Installation of Curt Hitch on 2018 Chevrolet Colorado

Question:

do this hitch have the bracket to mount the factory space tire support? I dont see the bracket in the photo? but i do see it in the multi photo at the bottom of the page. 2018 Chevy colorado LT

The spare tire support bracket is already attached to the frame of the 2018 Chevy Colorado LT so the Curt hitch part # C13203 does not come with the spare tire support bracket. Basically the installation instructions have you remove the spare tire support bracket from the existing crossmember of the frame and then reattach it to a bracket on the back of the hitch. The completed installation photos show the support bracket because it is re-installed during installation.

The crossmember or factory hitch (if the truck has a factory hitch) is removed during installation and is not reattached because it is replaced by the Curt Hitch. I have attached a screenshot of the installation instructions that shows all of the parts and what they attach to. I have also attached an installation video for your reference that shows this process.
