The hitch is made from steel that’s precision-welded by robots for maximum strength and consistent fitment. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat delivers excellent rust resistance and keeps it looking clean after years of use. The round-tube design gives it a finished, integrated appearance while still standing up to road grime and weather.
No welding or fabrication is needed here. The hitch uses a straight bolt-on installation and comes with all required hardware and instructions, so you can get it mounted using basic tools. It’s designed for DIY installs in the garage or driveway without specialized equipment or drilling into the frame.
The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening is ideal for common Class I accessories like two-bike racks or compact cargo carriers. Bought 08/2021. Came in a few days which was great. Was completely bent which was not great. Had to take it to a shop and pay extra just bc they spent so much time straightening it so it could fit on my car. Once on the car it looks good and i have no complaints.
Pretty easy install. Directions we're a bit confusing but I figured it out quickly. Will need two people to install hitch as it's heavy and the for is tight. Great price, fast delivery and will use etrailer.com again!
Installation was not as simple as the directions indicated. The rear most mounting holes in my Acrua needed to be drilled larger (1/2") so the supplied bolts would fit through. My hitch was also bent on one side (no damage to the shipping box so it looks like it was bent before shipping) and required straightening before it would clear the well for the spare tire. The pattern indicated for trimming the heat shield is just a suggestion, you will have to trim more to clear the hitch sides. The youtube video is more helpful that then printed install instructions. This should have been a quick install, allow an extra hour for solving unanticipated problems. Seems like a good sturdy hitch.

Have not install the hitch as yet but the shipping and service was great. The instruction video for the installation of the hitch is very helpful. Probably will save me many hours on the installation job.
my package came fully open despite having staples through out the top of the trailer so i’m hoping nothing came missing.

I ordered the hitch for my new Acura tlx. Order process is very simple and delivery only took 3 days. Installation took about 1 hour. Hitch fits perfect . I use it primarily for my bike rack.

Hi Robert, I ordered the same hitch but from another retailer. When you have your bike rack installed on the hitch does your bike rack slope down towards the pavement? Mine does and when looking from the side of the vehicle looks like the receiving part of the hitch points downward a bit. ThanksJC
Works fine as promised. This is the 2nd etrailer hitch I have installed. Only setback was one of the frame rail holes was slightly undersized and would not accept the bolt. I had to fish the backing plate and bolt back out of the the frame. The entire wire system of aligning the bolt into the frame hole works very well going in. It's a 1 shot deal...Not designed to fish the bolt and wire back out, (this had to be done to open up the frame hole with a drill...a 30 second process). Next time I will check the holes size from the outside with the bolt in my hand before I fish the wire and bolts into the frame. This would have saved 1 hour of coaxing the bolt back out. All worked well in the end. Good product, very happy with video instructions other than what I mentioned above.

Hi, I just received the package. I looked through the items. I wish to inform you the u bolt has 2 different sized nuts. The left side nut is too large. Picture attached. I hope all goes well with other parts. I look forward to attaching the cable wiring. And the Hitch assembly as well. Thank you. Mr. Johnson.
