Today, we're going to be reviewing product number 2608. This is Redline's 8 inch long lanyard. This is made of a multi-strand aircraft cable. The lanyard is going to be stronger and more resistant to breaking when compared to single wire lanyards. This lanyard is going to help keep your hitchpin, linchpin, or snapper pin close by when you're not using it. That way you don't ever have to worry about losing it or misplacing it. Here on each end, it's going to feature a closed loop end as well as a nice crimped design.

It's going to make sure that the cable stays securely in place. That way the loop does not come undone. Now, the loop end openings, that's going to measure about a half inch going this way and a quarter of an inch wide. Overall length, measuring from end to end, is going to be where we get the 8 inch measurement from. That's going do it for product number 2608. This is Redline's 8 inch long lanyard.

Factory utility trailer tail gate latch lacked quality control. Could not pull gate pin far enough to release the gate. Removed the spring and added a hitch pin to keep the latch from dropping the gate bouncing down the road. Lost a few pins, found some in the wash machine, got these cables and the pins stay at the trailer where their supposed to be. Took 10 seconds to attach, not theft proof but they work!

E - trailer is fantastic!! Always great quality parts! They are always available for that question that you might have. The longest I’ve waited for a reply on an email is one hour. And that was during the holidays. The only problem is that they use the United States Postal Service for delivery on some items. The United States Postal Service always delays delivery. E Trailer mailed out my item on December 19, the USPS just delivered it today January 9th. Just a heads up, a trailer ships it out on time it’s the USPS that drops the ball. As you all know that the US Postal Service is to blame for the delay delivery and not a E trailer..

Diameter Of The Loop On Each End Of The Redline 8 inch Lanyard Part # 2608
The 8" Long Lanyard # 2608 has two loops, one on each side. The loops measure 1/2 inch long 1/4 inch wide. Go to your local hardware store and grab a bolt/self tapping screw that the threaded portion falls within the dimensions of the loop. The head of the bolt/screw should be bigger than the loop just to prevent it from slipping off. You want to have the majority if not all the loop underneath the head of the hardware you use.
