Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Curt weight distribution shank. This shank is going to slide into your two-inch hitch receiver and give you the attachment point that you need for your weight distribution systems head assembly. And this is designed to be used with your Curt weight distribution systems. This has a weight capacity of 15,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 1500 pounds. And as you see, this does feature seven adjustment holes for attaching your head assembly, letting you level your trailer with your tow vehicle. So let me pull out my ruler here and go over some measurements here with you.
Looking at the overall height, we are sitting right at nine and a half inches tall, and looking at the spacing of our attachment holes here, lining that up center to center, as you can see we are sitting right at an inch and a quarter center to center. And those holes by the way are 3/4 of an inch in diameter. And this can be flipped to provide the necessary drop as we have it in the drop position right now or rise. And this is going to give you a maximum drop of about three and one eighth inches. And then when you flip this over, this is going to give you a maximum rise of about seven and one eighth inches.
And let me continue giving you some overall measurements so you can be confident this is going to work for you. Our pinhole diameter is gonna be five eighths of an inch so measuring from the center of our hitch pinhole to the end of our shank, we are sitting right at nine inches long and then keeping my ruler there, measuring from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes, we are sitting right at eight inches and then from the center of our hitch pin hole to where this begins to curve or bend, lemme see if I can line that up for you so you can see that. We are sitting right at about three and a half inches. Then looking at the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear of our shank. Line that up here for you.
We are sitting right at three and a half inches. Now this is a heavy duty shank. It's constructed from poured steel for superior strength and it has very generous black powder coating that's going to help resist rust and corrosion. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
