Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Taylor Made gas strut for your boat hatches. This is going to replace a worn out or damaged strut on your boat's hatch. It will allow you to easily extend your hatch lid, making it very easy to lift up so you don't have to worry about extra weight or anything like that. It's also going to compress to allow your lid to gently close. You're not going to have to worry about it slamming down or anything like that.

It does have the ball and socket installation, so you can see we've got the sockets on either end here. These will accommodate a 10 millimeter ball. So that will mount onto the inside of your boat's hatch. These are a heat-treated construction, so the steel is going to be very durable, very strong for you.This does also have a corrosion resistant coating that's not going to rust, even in your saltwater areas. So whether you're on the river or a lake or out on the ocean, it's going to do a good job for you, allow you to open your boat's hatch when you need to.

This is 15 inches long from the ball socket to the ball socket, and it does have a compression force of 30 pounds, so it's going to do a good job for you. It comes with just the one strut, so if you we're to need a second strut you could use the same part number and just order multiple of those.
