This Curt Double Lock gooseneck hitch is built to handle tough jobs. With a 30,000-lb gross towing weight and 7,500-lb vertical load capacity, it’s designed for hauling large equipment, livestock, or heavy fifth wheels without flex or rattle. The double-pin locking system secures the chrome-plated 2-5/16" ball firmly in place for extra confidence under load.
When the trailer’s unhooked, you can flip the ball over and store it right in the hitch for a flat, clean bed. The below-bed design keeps everything out of the way so you can use your truck for other work without obstruction. A rubber cover fits over the ball hole to keep grime out when the ball is stowed.
The comfort-grip handle mounts inside the wheel well so you can lock or unlock the hitch without climbing into the bed. Pull it out to release, rotate it to secure, and the double-lock pins snap into place to hold the ball tight. The built-in safety-chain hookups are easy to reach and ready for use whenever you hook up a trailer.
A custom mounting kit and Grade 8 hardware come in the box for a solid bolt-on install—no welding required. You’ll need a 4" hole in the bed for the ball and small holes for safety chains, but there’s no drilling into the frame. This setup gives you a secure underbed system that’s ready for years of heavy towing.

The supplied mounting brackets didn't line up with anything on the frame. I had to modify the entire kit. I fo however like the locking mechanism.
A well-designed, high-quality gooseneck hitch kit, that I probably could have installed myself if I would have had a hydraulic lift available. The installation video was very well done.
After reading through the installation manual, thank you so much for the video. I used that as a reference while reading. Not sure I would have understood everything if that hadn’t been available.

Installed in a ‘95 Chevy K3500. Fit perfectly, easy install. Works like it should -no issues. Can highly recommend.
Direct bolt up for 1997 Chevrolet C 2500 took me approximately an hour and a half to install and never removed the bed

After a year of owning still looks great and performs great, install instructions were spot on and haven’t had any issues with hitch,use it almost every weekend.
Will be returning. Crossbar pieces didn’t line up with bolt holes on brackets bolted to the frame. Angle iron crossbar didn’t even fit inberween the bed and frame. Also the bolts to go in the rear cross bar didn’t even thread in either the threads on the cross bar were the wrong size or the bots were the wrong size.

The curt turnover ball works great
Used this kit to modify and fit my c notched lowered truck. Side plates welded to notch and hitch assembly is still removable. Kit was as described and am pulling 19k wit it and zero problems
I purchased this gooseneck hitch about a year ago to go on my pickup. I didn't install it right away as I didn't have a trailer that needed a gooseneck hitch. I installed the hitch in April of 19 when I found a trailer that I wanted and needed to transport it. Everything installed smoothly and in about 4 hours. I was taking my time and triple measuring to make sure I didn't cut or drill holes in the wrong location. All of the bolt holes line up on the frame and the only drilling that I had to do wad through the floor of the bed for the hitch to come through and the u-bolts for the safety chains. Make sure that you read the instructions completely and carefully and the installation is a breeze. I am happy with this hitch and would buy another one for any new truck that I get.
Perfect fit, sturdy, and instructions were almost perfect. Install time approx. 5 hr. without lift. Loosen and lift truck bed would have saved about 1 hr. Overall simple to install, all bolting points and hole were perfect .

Used this 4 or 5 times and works great. Checked all bolting points and still tight and secure. So far so good, working great.
This is an excellent product. I installed the hitch myself and it was pretty straightforward. I did a lot of research on installing a below bed hitch to make sure it went well. I did have a small issue with getting one of the bars in. I put a call in and got great customer service. After a year of use I have had no issues at all. I will definitely use etrailer in the future.

It has been two years of use with this hitch and it still works perfectly. I have had no issues at all.
I installed the Curt gooseneck on my 1993 GMC 2 Wheel Dr. 2500 truck. All the components have tight tolerances. It took me eight hours. With a socket and the wrench. Laying on my back. I did have to cut the wheel well lip about 3/8 of an inch off because I could not get that front angle bar to slide in without hitting it, no way around it unless you lift the bed up and I wasn’t going to do that!!. You have to cut it.instructions do not state that. I’m very happy with the Hitch, it is definitely stout! I did have to make a notch on the outside brackets to go over my airbag bolt. I also had to remove the support bracket on the inside of the frame for the airbag and the crossmember for the spare tire to get the front angled bar in.
I have not installed the hitch yet. The absolute best customer service I’ve ever experienced!! Paula is very knowledgeable and had it shipped out the same day. I highly recommend etrailer to anyone!
