Hey Dennis, thanks for reaching out!

The Curt Double Lock # C60713 does NOT require drilling into your 1999 Chevy frame in order to install the side brackets. Obviously, you'll need to do some drilling into the bed for the receiver and safety chain loops, but you won't be drilling into your frame.

If you don't already have a 7-Way socket in your truck bed, then I recommend installing the Hopkins # 41157 for easier access when towing your gooseneck trailer.

Are you planning on installing this yourself?

Hey Dennis, how did your install of the Curt Double Lock hitch go on your Chevy? Did the no-drill frame setup make things easier for you? Your update could make it easier for others working on the same truck.
