Awsome product!!! I use this front mount hitch a lot, mostly surf fishing at the beach using an attachment to carry a large cooler and fishing rods. I also use a winch that attaches too. Thanks etrailer.com

LOL!!! You want my opinion on this product? Well the first day was a four hour nightmare! The second day took 10 minutes to mount and tighten the bolts.. Here's why.

The manufacturer gives you absolutely no instruction on how to align and raise the 40 plus pound hitch up and into place all the while dealing with a pivoting sway bar mount. Now remember, you have to align three separate hole patterns to get the mounting bolts on.
Trying to do this "free hand" is impossible.
BUT if you align the hitch mount on top of the sway bar mount aligning the holes up and clamping it in place with two small vice grips, then raise the two separate pieces together with a small floor jack centered to the assembly, it raises up directly in line with the frame mount holes. Presto..... your there.

1993 Ford F-150

I just installed the front end trailer hitch on my '93 F150 4x4. Perfect! It went in without a hitch (pun intended). The instructions said 30 minutes install time and I think I beat it. Bonus - Made in USA! The acid test for the whole rig was when I slid the boat into my tricky garage without so much as a squeak from my wife. Not so before.

didnt take much to bend thi pushing snow. customer service was even worse. if you use this to push a plow make sure to add at least a 1/4 inch plate to the bracket mount or the cheap pot metal they used to make it will fold like your wallet.

1995 Ford F-150

I ordered the front hitch for my 95 F-150 on Monday and received it on Thursday. I spent about 45 minutes installing it. The hitch fits perfect and now I can back my trailers into a tight spot without using the undersized mirrors or straining my back turning around. I wish I would have bought it years ago.

I put this Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 93 Ford F150 pick up, mounting an aluminum snow blade to push snow. Chains on the tires and added weight in the box. I was not nice to it and it worked flawlessly.
It was easy to mount and continues to work great.

by:

The Hitch mounted right up and would recommend to anyone seeking a hitch assembly.

I bought this front-mount hitch to use on a work truck. At first I was a little worried about it bolting though the sway bar mounts and its capacity but once it was on it was completely solid. I have a cargo basket mounted to it and a generator with a few traffic cones strapped to the basket. In total I have about 200lb on this hitch and I don't notice it at all!

Nice fit and design. More than 1/2 hour job for first time to install. Tool 1 hour to complete job.

The hitch ebooks great. I had a hard time finding a stinger long enough to clear the front bumper.

1992 Ford F-150

92 F-150 4x4 with sway bar shield.

Good
quality hitch, pre drilled holes fit truck perfect. Good weld quality and hardware. Bolts ARE long enough to pass thru frame, hitch, and sway bar shield which was one of my concerns.

I had seen no review of it going with the sway bar shield so was a little worried but all I had to do was drill the mounting holes on the shield NOT the frame. Went better than I thought though the drill did bind in the holes a few times because it is almost the right size so the drill bit was barely biting but no big deal. Also the hitch clears the shield by about an inch when installed. Install less than an hour.
P. S. Stock sway bar shield bolts have a clip and not a nut and those are kind of a pain. Will add photos for reference.

etrailer Customer service and shipping is great. East coast to west coast in like 4 days.

Happy customer, would recommend.

Everything fit great. Had to elongate holes in sway bar cover, that’s it. Didn’t have to cut out bumper shroud. Looks great to.

Came great! Fast and all wrapped up right. Haven’t installed plow with it yet.

  • Universal Or Custom Fit Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1996 Ford Bronco
I may have another option but the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31026 is only a confirmed fit 1992-1996 Ford F-150 and will not fit on your 1996 Bronco due to the differences in the frame and bumpers. Since there is no custom fit front mount trailer hitch receiver for your Bronco, the only option would be to have a universal trailer hitch receiver like the Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets # 15902 fabricated to fit the front of your Bronco. • Is the Sway Bar Removed During Installation of the Curt Front Mount Hitch on a 1996 Ford F-150
I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said the front sway bar on your 1996 Ford F-150 stays in place. You only need to remove the bolts holding the sway bar plate and enlarge those holes to 1/2 inch diameter. The hitch comes with new hardware to replace those bolts you discard. The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch, # 31026, will be mounted to the sway bar plate.

Curt front-mount hitch # 31026 is a confirmed fit on your 1992 Ford F-150 and to help you confirm the right clearance for your application with a winch mount I went to our warehouse and measured one key dimension that will help you determine this.
