Expert Reply:
Curt front-mount hitch # 31026 is a confirmed fit on your 1992 Ford F-150 and to help you confirm the right clearance for your application with a winch mount I went to our warehouse and measured one key dimension that will help you determine this.
Please refer to the linked photo.
I measured from the front mounting holes on the hitch mounting brackets to the hitch pin hole in the receiver tube and found that the hole center to hole center distance was 4-1/4-inches. So, if you check the truck's frame rail note the position of the FRONT mounting hole and measure forward by this distance to see where the hitch pin hole will be positioned after installation.
This will help you select a compatible winch mount such as # BDW20155.
