what is the width measurement of the 31026 hitch from outside plate to outside plate

I spoke with my contact at Curt regarding front mount trailer hitch, # 31026. He stated that the distance from outside plate to outside plate is 40.6 inches. The distance across between bolt holes is 36-3/4 inches on center. I have included a link to the installation details for this hitch for reference.
