Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Superwinch 120 Volt AC Trailer Winch with the wire rope as a roller fairlead and a 1500 pound rated line pull. Now this trailer wench is designed for standard duty work application. It is designed for efficient loading of vehicles onto a trailer and are recommended for vehicles with a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 1500 pounds. It does use a 1.1 horsepower permanent magnet motor, delivers powerful fast and safe line pull. The motor is lighter and uses less current than a series long motor and it is also sealed to keep out any water and prevent internal corrosion.
Now we mentioned it's a AC plug. Basically you can see it has the plug for your standard three pin 120 volt AC extension cord. Does use an automatic mechanical brake which will hold a hundred percent of the load while minimizing winch creep. It has uses all steel two stage planetary gear that has a 262 to 1 ratio. Also, if you notice right up here, I got it plugged in.
They offer a 12 foot long wired remote that'll let you operate the winch from a nice safe distance. You can see it just has a two buttons for in and out. Now on this side, if you look this handle, it is a pull and turn clutch to ensure fast rope payout, reduce wear on the motor. The wire rope that's on this, it's a 5/30" diameter wire rope, which is strong and abrasion resistant. It is 35 feet in length and it is an aircraft grade galvanized steel cable, that is connected, you can see here, to a quarter inch steel clevis hook with the latch on it and the nice nylon hand saver strap is included and you can see it does reattach to a fairlead.
It's a four-way roller fairlead that we attach to the winch. Now the mounting pattern for this comes with the hardware to install it for the winch and for the roller fairlead, you can see we've already installed. Has a nice durable gray powder coat steel body in the motor, helps resist corrosion. And as we mentioned, the rated line pull with a single layer of wire rope around the drum is 1500 pound static load, maximum recommended gross vehicle weight, 1500 pounds. Now the motor we talked about, it's 120 volt AC power.
The line pull at zero pounds, the power draw would be 1.2 amps, line speed 10-1/2" per minute. The line pull at the full 1500 pounds, power draw is gonna be 9.2 amps and the line speed is 4.2" per minute. The weight on this is only about 25 pounds. And the dimensions overall length, not including if you remove your wired remote there, so basically from here to here is about 15-1/2". The width at the lightest point with the roller fairly detached is about 7-1/4". And the height up to here is the tallest point is about six inches tall. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Superwinch 120 Volt AC Trailer Winch with the wire rope, the roller fairlead, and a 1500 pound rated line pull.
