Installation

T-One Connection Location Points

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located beneath your vehicle, along the driver's-side frame rail.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

finally found it!this prouduct is 10yrs old and been looking all over the place and found it here! great because i need it bad, so thanks!

by:

This product well constructed, is easy to install and has a long pig tail.

by:

A slick piece and an easy install. Drilling for the ground and fastening created a problem. The self tapping screw that came with the package sheared off. It also called for a 3/32 drill bit but even a 5/32 was too small. I think think the directions were bad.

It is a great harness but the ground connection issue will give you some grief and add time to the install

My first time

This made my brake instillation kit extremly easy. Must have for a new 7 plole pig tail. No cutting wires it was all plug and play.

It is an excellent harness and connector. i have had no problems what so ever. I t has worked great form me.

trailer wiring was high quality and worked well on my 1997 Silverado.

by:
1997 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

This was a very simple plugin installation. I did have to drill a hole for a self tapping screw for the ground wire (the drill size was a little larger than what the instructions called for). Just make sure you put it where the spare tire will not come into contact with it. (I had to do it twice). I'm very happy with my new hitch and wire harness. Shipping was fast. I think I ordered it Friday morning and received it Monday or Tuesday.

So far so good. No problems at all.

by:

Excellent product, easy to install, works perfectly. Needed to drill a 1/8 inch hole as opposed to the 3/32 in the instructions for the ground wire connection but a simple fix. Installed it to later connect an LED tailgate light bar.

The main tail light harness underneath the vehicle. It will be along the inside of the driver side frame rail at the rear.

by:
1997 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Exactly what I ordered. A no brainer. Literally a plug and go deal here. Absolutly no splicing or destroying your factory wire harness. The other trailer light connector styles require you to cut and splice in a wire allowing for moisture to cause corrosion. A little electirical grease before connecting it and my connections have been corrosion free for over a year now. Very satisfied. Have recomended time and time again. I pull trailers every day and this product has held up. Plan on purchasing 4 more in the future for my other trucks.

by:
1994 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

The trailer light hook-up for my '94 Chevy truck came very quickly, even though I picked economy shipping. I was delighted that it came so fast, but it was a few days before I got the time to install it.
I was expecting to take apart my lights and hook in behind the light bulbs like I did on my Ford E250 which was simple enough. (The harness on the E250 is still going strong several years later by the way.)
This light kit only took about 15 minutes to install. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. What took the most time was rounding up a couple of zip ties and drilling a little hole to put a ground screw in. This was so quick and very, very easy.

I do lawn mowing and landscaping. I use my trailer a lot. The good people at the package store where I bought my trailer were suggesting a person to custom install a light harness on my vehicle for a little more than a hundred dollars. This etrailer kit cost me less than $$.00 all told, part and shipping included.
These people at etrailer are so very helpful and can save you so much money and frustration. You owe it to yourself to give them a try.

Thanks etrailer. Awesome product and service. I will definitely use you again. In fact, I expect to order a frame mount hitch receiver from you later this spring.

The item that I purchased a year ago is as great today as the day I installed it. This is a great product.

by:
1998 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Installation on my Chevy C1500 was a breeze. Simple plug and play, secured w/ zip tie then attached ground to body, adding a dab of electrical grease (wire to body). I purchased the flat 4 mounting bracket, drilled two holes , and mounted it on the bottom of bumper near the ball. A dab of electrical grease on the flat 4 dust cap and it's good to go. I must of looked at it four times afterwards, thinking, man that looks good. Just buy it, you've already been thinking about it.

  • Recommended 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness for 1995 Chevy C3500 with 5.7L
For your 1995 Chevy C3500, I recommend your start with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller # 90195. This proportional controller will apply your trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity as you hit the brake pedal in your truck. It has easy to use presets and has an LCD screen to avoid code deciphering of most other brake controllers. It is completely transferable to another vehicle if you decide to move trucks at some point. If you want a more basic controller,...

  • Brake Controller Install on 1997 Chevrolet Pickup
This is a fairly straightforward install. GM has already run some of the necessary wiring from the rear frame rail area to the engine compartment, so you will see a blue wire for the electric brake function, and an orange wire which provides 12 volt power for trailer accessories like a breakaway kit near the end of the driver side frame rail. The orange and blue wires at the rear of the truck would attach to the appropriate poles on the 7-way trailer connector on the rear bumper. You can...

  • Trailer Hitches and Wiring for a 1993 Chevy 1500 Truck and 1999 Chevy Suburban
You would not be able to move a trailer hitch back and forth between the 1999 Suburban and 1993 Chevy 1500 because the hitches are different between these vehicles and are not interchangeable. Also, you would have to get new hardware every time. The hardware is meant to only be torqued down once and not reused. For the 1999 Chevy Suburban the most popular hitch is # C14029. For the truck the most popular option (for models with standard or step bumper) is # C14081. The recommended ball...

  • 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch for a 2000 GMC K3500 Dually
For GM 2000 was a split model year. Prior to 2000 the trucks were either a C series for 2 wheel drive or K series for 4 wheel drive. Sierra was not a model at that time; it was just a trim level. In 2000 there were both C or K models and Sierra models but only for 1500 and 2500 series. In 2000 the 3500 would still have been a K3500 meaning that none of the hitches for the 2000 Sierras will fit. So for a 2000 GMC K3500 you can use 2-1/2 inch hitch # DT45506 as long as the truck is a long...

  • Installing Brake Controller On 1998 GMC Sierra
To install a brake controller in your 1998 GMC C/K series 1500, there are a couple of items you will need in addition to the brake controller. After making that connection, you will just need to attach the white ground wire to a clean, bare metal surface. Then you will need the 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. First,...
