For GM 2000 was a split model year. Prior to 2000 the trucks were either a C series for 2 wheel drive or K series for 4 wheel drive. Sierra was not a model at that time; it was just a trim level. In 2000 there were both C or K models and Sierra models but only for 1500 and 2500 series. In 2000 the 3500 would still have been a K3500 meaning that none of the hitches for the 2000 Sierras will fit.

So for a 2000 GMC K3500 you can use 2-1/2 inch hitch # DT45506 as long as the truck is a long bed that does not have the 10 inch deep drop bumper. I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK25518.

And if the truck does not have a trailer connector already you can use # 118315 to add a 4-Way flat to the rear of the truck.
