Question:
Is this an exact replacement for the 7-blade I cuurently have. I dont remember the extra wiring harnesspig tail. From what I rememeber, the 7 pin plug from the truck just plugged directly into the 7 bladei.e.the flat plug from truck plugged directly into the bumper mount? Thanks

If your 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 has the harness with the round connector like the one in the attached photo, you may only need to replace the 7-way connector that is mounted on the bumper of your truck. I would recommend the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector, part # HM40940. This would replace just the 7-way mounted on your bumper, and comes with the mounting screws.
If you are wishing to replace the entire harness and the 7-way connector, the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector, part # HM42190, would be what you need. The harness plugs directly into your truck wiring without splicing or cutting, and the included 7-way connector plugs into the harness. This harness comes with the mounting screws.
