Quickly and easily install a 7-way, RV-style trailer connector on your Ford Ranger with this custom harness. Connector plugs directly into existing tow connector on your truck - limited cutting, splicing, and tapping required.
Whether you're hauling a camper or a car hauler, the 7-way connector covers it all - brakes, turn signals, reverse lights, tail lights, even auxiliary power. It makes sure every circuit is ready to go so you're never left troubleshooting at the boat ramp or campsite.
Installing trailer wiring shouldn't mean tearing into your trucks harness. This T-connector plugs right into factory ports, so you get a reliable connection with only limited splicing and running wires. It's built to integrate like it came from the factory - no mess, no mistakes.
When you're towing a trailer with brakes and lighting, it's easy to overload your trucks wiring. The built-in powered converter keeps things in check by pulling power from the battery instead of the tail light circuits, delivering clean, consistent voltage where its needed.
Dust, road grime, and water can ruin a trailer connection fast. The spring-loaded cover on the 7-way plug snaps shut when not in use, sealing the terminals from the elements. No more jiggling wires or cleaning out corroded pins before every trip.
You won't need a trip to the hardware store just to finish the job. The included zip-ties and protective loom help you route the wiring cleanly along factory lines, keeping it out of sight and out of trouble from snags or heat.
Want a cleaner, more secure install? You can pair this harness with Curt mounting bracket C58000 (sold separately) to keep the connector fixed in place on your hitch or bumper.
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver side rear bumper. After plugging in the connector, route the 7-way end of the harness along the inside of your bumper toward the center of your vehicle.
Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. If necessary, secure the harness with the provided cable ties.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Now, this is going to let you easily and quickly install a 7-way RV-style trailer connector on your vehicle, and this connector is going to plug directly into your existing tow connector on your truck. The T-connector is going to plug right into your factory port, so you're gonna be able to get a reliable connection.
It's built to integrate like it came from the factory, so no mess, no mistakes or anything like that. Now, this custom T-connector is going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's side rear bumper. And after plugging in the connector, you're gonna route the 7-way end of the harness along the inside of your bumper towards the center of your vehicle. The spring-loaded cover on the seven way plug is going to snap shut when it's not in use, sealing the terminals from the elements. And the included cable ties and all of the hardware and the cabling that you see here, all of that is going to help speed up the installation and keep everything tight and secure.
Now, it is recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical components, and all of your electrical connections rather, and that's gonna help prevent corrosion due to moisture. So, if you are in need of that grease, on your screen, I am including the item number. You can just take that item number, pop it in the search field, that will take you to the grease, and you can add that to your order. That's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
I was hoping for a fully pinned connector from Curt but they decided not to make one and created this instead. I took the Curt plug and just pinned the blue, black wires into the plug. I used the OEM connector, it was a 4 pin trailer connector already there. I cut the wires about 6" from the OEM connector, pulled the connecter apart and used those wires and added them to the Curt plug. I now have a full working 7 pin trailer connector.
