The quality and materials used in construction was quite a bit more than what I had expected. These ramps are quite a prize.
They arrived at my location late last night, however, one could tell immediately construction and material was quite above average… This is a 4.0 Piece of gear.

Nice light weight ramps. Use them to put my atv in the truck bed and load my mini excavator into my dump trailer. Much more user friendly than steel equivalents.

Still holding up good. Store them outside because they arent gonna rust. Then light weight is a joy for the user experience. Decent traction when wet also with rubber tracks or atv tires.

These are so light weight and easy to handle. They are plenty strong for my needs. The only problem I have had is with the front air dam on my '93 RX-7 grabbing the cross bars on the inner edge of the ramps.

These continue to be awesome. I have loaded as much as a 7500 lb F250 diesel truck. The only complaint I can think of is the roughness of the edges of the cross members. They scratch or tear up bumpers and air dams on my real low cars.

Haven't used them yet.. but they look heavy duty and should do what I need to do.. just wish they were and inch wider to fit in the rear of my trailer.. but I can put a couple of cross pieces underneath to support the ramps I'm thinking.. excellent delivery time..looks like a good product! bought 2 sets of these and use them to load 3K LB track machines. Both broke 8" from bottom about 3 months of use, After the break I didn't feel like going through the hassle of dealing with the warranty process. I just left it where it broke and it hasn't had any issue since.

Nice hd ramps. I use them to load a sub-compact backhoe loader in my dump trailer. I know these ramps are over kill for a 3,000 lb unit but it leaves open use for heavier loads. Better be safe than sorry. The ramps were delivered fast with the great service I always get from etrailer.com.

There's nothing like being stranded with a piece of equipment half on and half off the trailer sitting on a collapsed ramp to get you thinking about how expensive a cheap set of ramps can really be. These are not the lightest nor the cheapest ramps you can buy, but they may will be the last set you will ever need. After using them for hauling farm equipment for a year now, I can honestly say they have been worth every penny! And etrailer.com has been great as well. Great products at very competitive prices.

Theses ramps weigh 30lbs a piece
compared to my 150lb steel ramps.
they are used for my Kubota Kx71 mini excavator it weighs 6000lbs.

After a year they’re working good no complaints, I do need to get a set that are rated for 10,000lbs since I bought a larger excavator and skid steer they both weigh 10,000lb. I’m sure they’ll be just as good as the my other ramps are. Yes I’m very pleased with my ramps.

I purchased the ramp set to replace the after market fold-up (finger pinching) ramps for use with my 16ft Aluma trailer. The ramps hook great onto the trailer bed. They fit nicely into the underbed transport pockets. The ramps are slightly longer than the pockets so I will be drilling a hole in each ramp lower end plate to accommodate the drop in pocket safety pins.

To be honest, the ramps are better than the trailer I bought. I've loaded everything from half ton pickups to riding lawn mowers and they've held up great. Also they are light enough for me to carry an even my wife can pick them up.

Hey Steve, The aluminum loading ramps we have that are closest to the 5' long x 13" wide measurements you mentioned are the Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp Set # 325-GH-R72. This set is 6' long x 14" wide so have the right width for your ramp carriers and are just a foot longer than your current set. These weigh 31 lbs per ramp so they're less than half the weight of what you have now, so will be quite a bit easier to handle.

I do have a solution for you, but the Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set # 288-07503 that you referenced has a max height of 16" for loading equipment. I did speak with my contact at Gen-Y Hitch who said that their aluminum loading ramps don't have a height restriction as they leave that up to the customer's discretion. Do the Gen-Y Ramps Have Hooks On The Ends of the Ramps and Add-On Plate For Attachment
The Gen-Y 72" Ramps # 325-GH-R72 do have hooks on the end to help make connection to the trailer easier and more stable, but there isn't an additional plate that can be added to a trailer specifically for this application. With that said, you might be able to fabricate something for this to suit your own needs; however from some of the feedback I've heard from customers who have used these, they do a pretty good job of staying in place.

Trailer Ramps That Minimize Tire Slippage for Loading Lawn Mower
I have a solution for you and you might be able to make the Car Hauler ramps you were looking at work without worry about slippage, but I think we can offer something better. From what I've seen, even if you've got molded wheels on your mower they likely have some sort of rubber treading to provide traction on a variety of surfaces. Because of this, you should be able to use the Car Hauler Ramp Set # 288-07501 without worrying about slippage- but we also have to worry about the width...

Why is there a Height Limit on Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set 288-07502
The height restriction on ramp set # 288-07502 has to do with the distribution of the weight, ability for tires to grip, and clearance between the tops of the ramps and the vehicle rolling up them. The shorter the ramp the more severe the angle will be as the loading height increases. You could go with longer (and tougher) ramps using the Gen-Y options such as # 325-GH-R72, # 325-GH-R84, or # 325-GH-R96. These ramps will last pretty much forever since Gen-Y is known for making products...

I reached out to my contact at Gen-Y Hitch and the Aluminum Ramps # 325-GH-R72 have an optimal angle for 12-20 inches height based on the angle on the bottom, but he said they can handle whatever angle your want at the full 6,000 lb capacity. They are rated for the ramps to take the full 6K as flat plank style bridge, so they can handle whatever angle you feel safe loading with them.

To determine if you will be able to use the Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set # 288-07502 will fit your Big Tex trailer you will need to take some measurements on your trailer. That's a great question Art. I reached out to Gen-Y as I could not find any special instructions or care manual for the ramps. They simply said all you need to do to care for their Loading Ramps # 325-GH-R72 is keep them clean and free of any dirt, grime, or salt. For storage I recommend just keeping them somewhere dry and away for any chemicals which can be harmful to aluminum.

Recommended Loading Ramp For Maserati With 12 Inch Wide Tires
The Stallion # 288-07503 Car Hauler Ramps are a total of 14-1/2 inches wide, which includes the raised edges. These ramps would accommodate your 12 inch wide tires but keep in mind that the tire would ride on the raised edges. I'd suggest going with something without the raised edges like the # 325-GH-R72 from Gen-Y. We do have some ramps that are a bit wider, but they lack the capacity needed for a passenger vehicle
