Trying to pack more without cramming your camper? If you've already got a bumper-mounted cargo carrier, this kit turns it into a lockable, front-loading cargo cage so extra bags or muddy gear can ride outside, covered and out of sight.
Some gear just doesn't belong in your RV, or maybe you just packed too much and ran out of room. This kit turns your existing 60" bumper-mounted cargo carrier into an enclosed hauler, giving you a lockable cage and a weather-resistant cover so your gear stays protected from road grime, bad weather, and sticky fingers. Extra duffels, camping gear, coolers, even that generator you swore you'd leave behindit all rides secure without eating up your interior space. And because it's front-loading, you won't need to hoist heavy gear overhead or wedge it in through a top lid.
If you're hauling a full load or just a few bulky items, this cage adjusts to fit your needs. The built-in horizontal and vertical bars give you plenty of tie-down points for smaller hauls. Just add straps (sold separately) to keep things from shifting. Need to haul something taller? Use the included hex key to remove the two retaining tabs at the back of the carrier, then lift off the top enclosure to turn it into an open cargo tray. Secure your cargo and you're ready to roll.
Locking your gear in a cargo cage is smart, but pairing it with the included, weather-resistant cover takes it to the next level. It wraps snug around the cage to shield your load from rain, dust, and road grime, so your sleeping bag doesn't come out smelling like wet asphalt and covered with who knows what. And while the cage keeps everything secure, the cover keeps it out of sight, turning your carrier into a clean, sealed hauler that won't draw attention when you're away from your rig.

Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you're looking for extra protection from the elements, any type of road grime, and you want to have some extra security for your cargo carrier, then the etrailer cargo cage, bag, and lock core is gonna be a great option for you. Now if you do need the carrier, right, you're gonna have that full kit here on our website. And this is also gonna be compatible with not only the etrailer cargo carrier, but any cargo carrier that's 24 by 60 inches in size. And right now I have this in my hitch receiver of my vehicle, but it's also gonna be rated for your RV bumper mounts. So if you have a bumper mount that's 24 by 60 inches, this is gonna be compatible.
We even have an etrailer one already available here on a website. So we can check out the individual components. We're gonna have a cage, and this is not only gonna contain your items in here, but it's gonna give you that extra protection. So no one can come by and grab your larger items, anything like your generator. And that's also gonna be because we have this lock core here.
So you can't open this up without unlocking it. And we're gonna have the extra protection with the cover on here. It's gonna be great when you're driving outside, whether it's rainy, snowy, you're driving down the road, kicking up that road salt, along with other vehicles around you. You don't have to worry about that grim getting on your softer items like your sleeping bags or your camping chairs. So typically when you have a bunch of random pieces together to help protect your gear, you're gonna have some awkward spots.
Usually with this, all these components are designed to work with one another. So this lock core here, it's not too bad to work with at all. Once we get that loosened up, because that's gonna be threaded into place, it gives you the extra security. We put this up top and now we can open up our doors. Now I will say sometimes you will find that you have a little bit of resistance with the cover being on top of here, but really that doesn't really block me too much, 'cause I can just hold it open with one side or have a friend help me out.
And unloading this is super easy to do on top of my carrier. And when it comes to actually zipping it back up, I'm not gonna lock it up. Just be a little bit quicker with this. Zipping it on the cage itself is actually pretty easy. Sometimes I've had some items interact with each other. You get some really weird pulling points, especially on the these corners. With this combination right here, it actually works fairly well. It gives us a great seal because it has some hook and loop. Make sure nothing gets in here. My opinion, I think this is gonna be probably one of my top choices to upgrade your cargo carrier as long as either the etrailer one or any 24 x 60 cargo carrier. You just want more protection for it. Now, if you don't have any of it, again, I'd recommend checking out our full kit, but we'd also love to see how you're using it, what type of gear you're helping to protect, and how it has helped you. You can let us know either in a comment or a picture. But again, I'm Matt, and thanks for watching.
