These custom-fit tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame—the most rigid part of the vehicle—so your camper’s weight is spread evenly across the bed. That lowers the center of gravity, keeps handling steady, and prevents sway or shifting even in strong crosswinds. The secure frame connection also avoids the flex or twist that can happen with bed or bumper mounts, giving you a smoother, safer ride through long hauls and rough roads.
The brackets bolt onto pre-existing holes in the frame for a clean, no-drill install. Because there’s no cutting or modification needed, your frame strength stays intact and ground clearance stays high. Each tie-down adjusts for a precise fit and extends just far enough to clear fenders or sidewalls. Once installed, you can use either of two pin holes on each arm to line up your turnbuckles exactly where they need to be.
When you’re not hauling a camper, you can remove the tie-down arms so only the compact brackets remain—tucked nearly flush beneath the truck. That means you keep a clean look without bulky hardware hanging below or sticking out from the sides. The low-visibility setup makes these tie-downs easy to live with year-round whether you’re loaded up or driving empty.

Made of heavy-duty steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs stand up to road debris, moisture, and long stretches of rough travel. The durable coating adds extra protection against corrosion so they stay strong and reliable season after season.
Each arm includes two anchor holes so you can fine-tune turnbuckle placement for your camper setup. This offset design creates proper tension from multiple angles to keep your camper locked in place without strain on any single point. Pair these mounts with turnbuckles (sold separately) for a solid connection that holds steady mile after mile.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these Torklift rear camper tie downs. These tie downs provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed so that you can secure your truck camper's turn buckles. The front tie downs are gonna be required, but they are sold separately, but you will need all four so that you can have those tie down points at all four corners. Your turn buckles that secure your camper to the tie downs are also sold separately. You probably already have them for your camper, but if not, you will need to pick some up.
Now these are going to work with lots of different vehicles. They're gonna fit several different years, and package setups for the Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Ram, and Toyota, models that you see on the screen there. So because this does work with so many different options, it's hard for me to really pinpoint, fine tune that for you. So I would encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com so you can select your year, make, and model, and then we'll walk you through as how to identify and make sure that this component is gonna work for your vehicle. So be sure to use that vehicle fit guide, but this is going to have these frame mounted brackets that use pre-existing holes in your vehicle's frame.
So there's very little, if any drilling required. They do include very detailed instructions to make sure that you're getting them installed properly, as well as the installation hardware that you're gonna need. And because these are mounted to your truck's frame, there's gonna be very minimal loss of ground clearance, if any. So it is gonna sit nice and tight up against your frame, and securing to the truck's frame is also going to ensure more stability. So being down there on the base of your truck rather than up on your bed rails is going to help create a lower center of gravity, make it less top heavy.
So it's gonna be a lot more stable for you than if you we're to have it attached higher up. So it's gonna be less vulnerable to, say, strong winds and sway, and that sort of thing. One of the really nice things about this Torklift design is that unlike some of your other options where you have a bracket that's permanently mounted where it's gonna be visible, it kinda takes away from the look of your truck when you don't have your camper in there. These you can just remove the arms because these do sit against your frame. They're gonna be right there on the bottom of your truck so they're virtually invisible when you have the arms taken out.
So you won't be seeing them or they're not gonna take away from the look of your truck. But then when you're ready to put your camper in and just simply slide these in, and you'll be ready to go. So there are two different holes here on the arms to accommodate different widths of your camper. So if you have a wider camper, you can just slide it into that first hole there, and then use the included pin to secure those arms to your brackets. This whole setup is made here in the USA of a very durable steel construction so it is gonna hold up really well for you. It also has this black powder coat finish as you can see so it will resist rust and corrosion. This kit does come with a limited, or sorry, a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But overall, I think this is gonna be a great way to make sure that your camper is securely connected to your truck. Giving you a very easy way of getting these mounted, and having that ability to remove those arms, take away any unsightly brackets being installed when your truck is being used for other purposes. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.

These really should not require any modifications. I see you got these for an 03 Silverado, but is it a 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton, what is the bed length, what kind of trailer hitch do you have, and do you have running boards (and what length are they if you do)?
