Camper Tie Down Recommendation for 2014 Ram 3500 Dually

Updated 02/24/2025 | Published 02/05/2025

Question:

I own a 2014 Ram 3500 dual rear wheel, 2 wheel drive pickup. I am looking at purchasing a slide-in, cab-over camper weighing about 5000 lbs. What tie-down equipment do I need for this dually truck?

Hey Tony, I really like the Torklift camper tie downs since they attach directly to the truck frame and provide a very strong and secure tie down location for the camper to attach to. The correct fit for your truck would be the part # TL22PR. Do you have a set of turnbuckles picked out yet? If not, we have the Torklift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles part # TLS9529-2-LK which are easy to use and also come with locks for each one.

Is the Torklift camper tie down #TL22PR for all 4 corners of the truck?

@Tony Yes, it covers all of the tie downs the truck would need. All 4 corners.

You recommended part #TL22PR for my 2014 Ram 3500. The rear tie downs seem fine. The fronts don’t seem correct. My truck is a 2014 Ram 3500 dually with 8’ bed. Is this the correct part? It seems the tie down is too far towards the rear. It mounts on the bracket for the front leaf spring hanger which seems too far to the rear of the truck. Please advise.

@TonyN Let me check again, is your truck a gas or diesel? Running boards? Factory Hitch?
