These rear tie-downs bolt directly to your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes, so there’s little to no drilling and no cutting needed. Mounting tight to the frame keeps your truck solid while helping maintain ground clearance. Because they’re custom-fit, the tie-downs line up perfectly for a secure install that doesn’t require fabrication or guesswork.
Frame-mounted tie-downs deliver a smoother, safer ride by holding your camper at the truck’s strongest point. Instead of relying on bed or bumper mounts, the frame distributes weight more evenly and lowers the camper’s center of gravity. That keeps your setup stable through corners, wind, and rough roads so your truck handles like it should.
Each TorkLift Talon tie-down combines military-grade aluminum alloy arms with stainless steel receiver brackets. The materials are rustproof, lightweight, and protected by a high-impact powder coat finish. This mix of strength and corrosion resistance means you can haul through wet climates or long trips without worrying about wear or weakness.
When your camper’s off, the removable arms slide out easily so only the slim receiver brackets stay in place. They sit nearly flush with the truck body and are barely noticeable. That way you keep your truck’s clean lines without leaving bulky hardware hanging out.

Each tie-down arm has two pin holes for adjusting extension length. This lets you clear fenders or sidewalls and still get the right angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately). The dual anchor holes on the attachment plate help you fine-tune tension and positioning for a steady, well-balanced camper connection every time.

excellent customer service. They helped my husband get the right camper tie downs for our truck camper. Thank you. With a little time he got the tie downs on the truck and they even look nice. I like that we can leave the inserts out when not using the camper. The last tie downs we had stuck outside like steps. Every one was always asking what they were.
Thanks for asking Kimberly, I don’t care for them and wish I had bought FastGuns instead. While more money they click in adjusted and ready to go. Each use of the Spring Load XL’s is an ordeal and I’m never really sure they are adjusted correctly. Hope this helps, John
Another retailer canceled my order and would not return my calls. etrailer sent it out right away and I had it in time to install before my trip. The Talon Camper Tie-Downs fit and performed perfectly. Instructions were accurate and helpful.
I recently purchased and installed TorkLift Talon rear tie-downs for my 2016 Ford F150supercab 8ft box. Installation was very easy with well explained directions. Product is excellent quality and will last the life of my truck. I only wish the front tie-down application was available, I would buy it in a heart beat. I will continue to check to see if front application becomes available.
Easiest installation available. These fit perfect and attach just as instructed. The only issue you may have to watch is that on some truck frames, mine being one of them, Ford covers one of the holes with a black sticker that states, "No Mounting Bracket". In my case, the writing on this sticker was covered by a film of road grime and I had problems even finding the hole to dry fit the bracket until I cleaned off the frame with solvent. The actually TorkLift kit fits the frame perfectly though. The passenger rear bracket is very close to the exhaust pipe so when diesel particulate filter regeneration cycle begins, it will melt the label off the bracket but does not appear the even burn the paint on it so should still be OK, just be aware when unhooking the tie down from the bracket as it could be very hot.
It's a little tricky feeding the bolts through the frame (almost lost one, but a little tape on the bolt/spring helped), but a great product otherwise. The mounting scheme for my Chevy 2500 HD is strong and ingeniously designed. No drilling or welding. The aluminum won't rust like other tie-downs mounted to the frame. It was well worth the extra money to get the aluminum version of this product.
Excellent product. Good customer service. I will always use tork lift products from now on.
etrailer is an excellent vendor as well.
I upgraded from happy jack camper tie downs. I like the aluminum talon tork lifts for their easy installation, zero corrosion liability, and unimposing appearance when not in use.
About a year ago, I purchased the aluminum Talon Torklift Frame-Mounted Front and Rear Camper Tie-Downs. The install was easy taking the better part of a day including a little help from a local automotive mechanic to loosen and retorque the truck’s leaf spring bolts. The Tie-Downs have worked great since installed with no issues. I highly recommend them.
Torklift frame mounted tie downs are a great product. The rear ones are easy to install. The front require a bit more skill and an extra set of hands. It’s a bit nerve wracking thinking you might loose the bolts into the frame! I upgraded my truck from an F150 to an F250. Because the brackets aren’t transferable, I had to get a new set and install them on my F250. I was glad I had the experience with the previous brackets on the F150 because the ones for the F250 are a bit heavier and more challenging to install. But I was able to do it with an extra set of hands to hold the brackets on to the frame. The fact that I went with the same Torklift system is a testament to the product. If you can afford aluminum, they’re beautiful and light. But once everything is in place, there’s no functional difference.
etrailer has great installation videos for the F150, but not the F250. I wish they had install videos for the F250 because it’s a bit more challenging, requiring an impact driver to loosen the nut on the driver side leaf spring.
The tie-downs were a bit difficult to install for a novice but if you follow instructions closely they did install as outlined in the instructions. They are lightweight and have held my camper in place very well. I am happy with this purchase.
They are almost perfect! There is a piece of molding underneath that they push in just a fraction, but otherwise they were well!
For the price of this product it should have installed without me having to modify it.
The main mount that attaches to the hitch is contoured from factory. When the tie down is inserted into the hitch mount the hitch pin holes do not line up. The tie down bracket will not inserted far enough due to the factory bending. I had to cut off the end of the tie down bracket to make the hitch pin hole align.
Very easy to install. A little more money than steel but with these you do not have to worry about rust if you live where they like to salt roads. Best part of etrailer is the customer service.
Excellent buying experience. The tie downs were shipped promptly and received on schedule. They were installed within an hour with no surprises on my 2016 f150 longbed. Looking forward to their use.
Fit perfect, simple design easy to inst all.
For a 2017 Silverado 2500 the mounting plate didn't align with the holes in the hitch so I had to grind about a half inch to get enough clearance to get the 1/2" bolt through. Would have been straight forward if this wouldn't have been an issue on both sides.
I had a question on installation and E.Trailer customer service answered the question and solved my problem. They are going to work great with my Northern Lite truck camper.
The rear mounts were easy to mount. The only problem the package was missing 4 flat washers. I also just received the Front mounts. They were a little harder to mount by myself. Some advice is to watch the install on [video]. I ended up using a floor Jack to hold the mounts.
The Talons and the fast guns are awesome products, fit and installation was very easy. The products have held up very well and will for a long time. The extra money spent for this set up was very worth it. It takes no time at all to secure the camper down and the fast guns have never needed adjustment after initial set up. ETRAILER was great to work with and followed up after sale. Products shipped quick and were in stock. They also had lots of information posted on YouTube to ease installation. Great company, great products by Torklift!
Excellent product easy to install
