Roof boxes haven't kept up with the shape of modern cars. Many of them sit too high and look out of place. This one was built lower and wider to match those newer roofs, giving you more room without making the car harder to load.
Roof boxes aren't small, and on newer cars with lower roofs, a tall box can really stick out. That can make it harder to reach your gear, and even block the rear hatch if you don't have it set forward enough. The 855 keeps a lower profile that follows the roofline instead of towering above it. You can reach it easily and open the hatch normally while packing what you need for the trip.
With most roof boxes you have to start fresh every time you put them on your roof. You move the clamps and tighten them, then repeat it the next time you have to put the box back on. The Memory Mounts keep that spacing set. Once you've set the clamps for your crossbars, they stay in place. The next time you mount the box, it goes on the same way it did last time. You won't have to deal with all the trial and error and wasted time that usually comes with it.
Loading a roof box is only half the job. You still have to reach what's inside. Many boxes this size only open from one side, which is fine until you're parked close to a wall or another car. This one opens from either side, so you can grab your gear without stepping into traffic or shuffling around a parked vehicle. It makes unloading safer and faster, especially when you're trying to get gear out quickly and back on the road.
Some roof boxes let you pull the key out of the lock even when the lid isn't latched all the way. It looks closed, but it isn't. That's how your gear ends up scattered all over the highway. Inno's lock stops that from happening. The key only turns when the lid is fully shut, and it stays in place until it's locked. You know it's secure before you drive, because the lock won't allow that mistake to happen.

Hey, everyone. I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. If you need to carry around a lot of gear for your next road trip, today we're focusing in specifically on how this Inno 855 Roof Box fits on this 2025 Mazda CX-90. Now, we already have a roof rack on this car, so it's really easy to add this box to it. If you're curious about the fits with this large box, stick around. First, I really like how this fits on top of our vehicle.
It does take up most of the roof of the car, but if you do need some extra cargo space, maybe you have a ski trip planned and you wanna make sure all your skis and boards are protected, or if you wanna throw a bunch of duffle bags, some chairs, just your bulkier items that you don't wanna keep inside the vehicle, this is gonna be a great box for it. You can see how the width of the box fits well when you have it centered on your roof. Now, this is a dual-access box, which is awesome because of where it sits. You just have to stand where your door is and you can toss things in on this side, easily close that box lid or go to the other side to do the exact same thing. For me, for road trips, I like to put things that I might need quick and easy access to on the passenger side, and then maybe those larger items here on the driver's side.
Inside, you can see all this space for all the gear. So this has 17 cubic feet of space, which, translated to the Mazda CX-90, is actually more than the cargo space you have with your third row up and just a little bit less than half of your cargo space if you had that third row folded down. (car beeps) How I usually use the rooftop box is my other gear, like my coolers and things, I'll put into the back in that limited cargo area, but I won't stack it up high enough 'cause I still like having visibility through the mirror. Everything else can go up onto the roof. And as our hatch door is open, you can also see how there's plenty of clearance from the back of the box to that hatch door.
So I still get full access to all my cargo areas. Whether it is the roof box or the back, I can get at both of them. What you just saw was a look at the Inno 855 Rooftop Cargo Box on top of the 2025 Mazda CX-90.
