Space is always tight under the dash, but the Curt Venturer NEXT brake controller keeps things tidy. It’s only 1" thick and mounts flush using the included bracket and hardware. You can install it at any angle without affecting performance, and because it’s a time-delayed design, inertia doesn’t matter. The slim housing tucks neatly out of the way while staying easy to reach when you need it.
You don’t have to guess what your controller is doing. The LED display shows brake output levels as a clear bar spectrum and lists error messages so you can troubleshoot fast. You can adjust screen brightness or switch to night mode for low-glare visibility after dark. When everything’s working, a quick glance tells you exactly where your settings stand.

Every trailer and load combination is different. Use the rocker switches to set your gain, which defines maximum braking power, then dial in the load setting to control how aggressively that power ramps up. If stops feel too abrupt, back the setting off; if the trailer takes too long to respond, turn it up. Once you find your preferred balance, braking stays consistent every time you tow.

Forget worrying about parasitic draw between trips. The Venturer NEXT automatically enters sleep mode when inactive so it won’t drain your battery. Built-in self-diagnostics constantly monitor trailer connection and short circuits, alerting you through the display if anything needs attention before you hit the road.
Whether you’re towing a small camper or a triple-axle rig, this controller manages up to 6 brake assemblies (3 axles). It’s compatible with low-volt PWM, ABS, cruise control systems, and both electric and electric-over-hydraulic brakes. Once wired in—either through a plug-in harness or hardwired connection—you’re ready for smooth, predictable trailer braking you can count on every mile.
If a custom brake control wiring adapter is not available for your vehicle, one of the following will be required:

I am using this for a test fixture. I have found it to be easy to use and having a reliable ramp rate for EOH brake actuation.
I replaced my previous Curt venturer with the new one and it was easy. Just plug it in. Used it this weekend and did great with easily adjustable trailer brakes
