Best Toyota Land Cruiser Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I searched the internet to put a hitch on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and found an instructional video from eTrailer.com where they installed on my exact car. I decided to go with eTrailer.com because they answered all my questions and because of the video-I support businesses that go the extra mile with these videos. Shipping was quick and well tracked, however, the box was flimsy and the one end of the hitch had come out of the box side and the ball mount could have easily come out of that hole during shipping. If I were eTrailer.com I'd charge an extra couple of bucks for more sturdy boxes-people will still buy as eTrailer is a well-trusted brand and this would overcome a lot of the negative reviews you'll see on their site about this shipping issue in their own reviews :-) I installed the hitch by myself (definitely recommend help as two people holding it up to the frame makes attaching 100% easier) in about 45 minutes total (out of the box, read instructions, review video again and installation complete). All hardware went on with no issues. Great quality hitch! I also bought the lesser expensive wiring assembly because most recent equinox's come hitch ready with pre-wired assembly in the left side compartment-snap and done. Picked up a new trailer at Home Depot within days and drove 5 feet and the clacking was horrible. I had always had a welded hitch before buying a hitch that took a ball mount. I really thought something was wrong and when I searched the internet that night it turns out this is very common. However, all you need is some sort of hitch "silencing" device. The number of options will drive you mad but I went with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch and it did the trick for much less than most of the other options. If I were eTrailer.com I'd have that as one of the RECOMMENDED add-ons and explanation why its super-worthy when customers are buying a hitch. Would have saved me the time and hassle of dealing with it later and the extra shipping charge for buying after the fact when I got free shipping for the other items the first time :-) All in all, I'm super, super happy with my hitch, wiring assembly, ball mount, ball mount locking pin and the hitch silencer. The hitch assembly included everything needed for quick and complete installation. Perfect fit for my 2023 Honda Passport. Have been using etrailer for some years now and have never had a bad experience. The self-help videos are a plus for customer service. Good work guys!

I'll start off with the great customer service, called a rep for assistance and did a great job. He walked me through everything for about 5 minutes. Then I proceeded to order parts at a very reasonable price. Shipping was right on time and tracking was top notch. Now for the parts I received. Trailer hitch receiver was built like a tank, and very easy to install. I didn't even have to take off the whole bumper which I see on your website. There is only one problem with this hitch receiver. Zip ties to hold the facia bracket? It's like putting a $10 paint job on a Rolls Royce. I'm sure you have a good R&D department, but this is unacceptable. I could tell you how to make this better but I'm not part of your team. Could be solved by putting a ___ on the ______. R&D should be smart enough and paid well to figure this out. No offense but they can do better. ??ZIP TIES?? Also, it is pitched with a cap but did not receive that. I also purchased A brake controller P3 and a ball hitch. The ball hitch is pictured wrong on your website. It's pictured with an adjustable ball hitch. This is what really wanted but got something entirely different. If it works, I'll be fine with it. I should have caught that, but my eyes adjusted on the adjustable ball hitch. P3 brake controller was very easy to install, about 5 minutes. On a closing note, I will order from etrailer again. Thanks for your business. Very good product and I would have given it a 5 star rating but there is one critical flaw that is quickly remedied. When using the pintle hitch, the pressure exerted on pin while pulling a load can cause the pin to turn, thereby popping out the keeper pin. This happened twice and it was a good thing that I had the hitch positioned so that the pintle pin was installed going down allowing gravity to hold the pin in place even when the keeper pin fell out. I have since changed out this style of keeper pin with a cinch pin that can spin 360 degrees inside the 2" tube and no pressure is exerted on it by the load being pulled. If I were designing this from new, I would make it so that the draw pin on the pintle had a square shoulder much like a carriage bolt so that it can't turn thereby eliminating pressure on the keeper pin. Other than that it is a great product.

I purchased the AMSC10 because I needed a 10" drop hitch to tow my lowboy enclosed trailer with my lifted Toyota Tundra. I tried several other types of hitches with this towing combo and I was always disappointed. Mostly because of the fit/sloppiness of the ball mount into the receiver. This would cause a lot of noise and the feeling of the trailer "bucking" while hitting bumps and such. The other hitches that I tried were those cool aluminum ones, both a fixed one and an adjustable one. Although they were pretty, both left me very disappointed. The shipping for this hitch from Etrailer was fast and efficient. I received emails informing me of my order status throughout the whole process. Upon receiving my AMSC10, I tested it out and found it to be a much nicer fit into the receiver. Once I hooked up to the trailer and began to tow, the difference was extremely noticeable. This hitch is quiet, it doesn't buck, and in fact, comparatively, you wouldn't even know the trailer was behind you unless you looked. I am actually really excited about towing with this hitch. I know it sounds goofy, because it is, but it makes the task so much more pleasurable with the cushion ball mount. I'm already thinking about buying the 8" drop for my normal trailers.

Works great for my lifted truck. The cushion part of it works great, not so much loosness in that area felt any longer.

Arrived today. Fast shipping, and thank you for that! Seems to be a quality ball mount. Just what I needed to get the ball lower to tow my trailer. With this, now the top of the ball is at 16" where it needs to be. Custom built receiver on my old moving box van. Just need to weld on safety chain slots and paint it. Can't drop the lift gate with the receiver in (its pinned on both sides), but hey....I can tow now.

Tow infrequently; got new(to us) 2015 RAM 2500 pick up to tow our 38’ touring travel trailer. Have a HD WD hitch & adjustable sway control hitch set up we use for this trailer, but needed a drop hitch for our smaller Travel trailer& misc use haul trailer,,,,both much lighter & do not require the sway control set up. This drop hitch & ball fit the bill perfectly as the needed drop did not provide suffice t ground clearances to utilize the WD hitch mount setup (which was not needed) for those smaller loads. E-trailer worked w us to get the product we needed & an option that was inexpenve but sufficiently rated to pull our smaller trailers! Very happy our results !

The hitch works perfectly. The drop is exactly what was needed to level my tool trailer. I haave used all three ball sizes to tow various trailers, every time the right size ball and right amount of drop was available. My tool trailer tracks perfectly while on the rough Michigan roads and freeways. All in in an excellent product and a good purchase.

Just received my adjustable B&W Hitch today & I love it! Very heavy duty & it will solve my problem with my F-150 has a 6” lift with 35” Nitto Tires. Want to be able to tow a small trailer, boat or Ursula if ever need to so this will certainly do the job. Thank you! My only issue is you don’t receive a locking pin with it & as much as it cost I think it should be included .

I use this hitch when I pull my horse trailer to make the stop/start transitions as smooth as possible for the horses in the back. It works great. I also love that its a category IV hitch. Really heavy duty. My truck sits pretty high, and the amount of drop - 8" is perfect. I never worry about hitch failure travelling with my horses - they're a heavy load, and any failure would be a disaster. I have a 2012 GMC Sierra HD with a 12" suspension lift. I recently purchased a ball mount hitch with 8" inch drop for our 36' RV trailer and it worked great. It took 3 days for the hitch to get to me. Great service from e-trailer.

My usage of your hitch is a bit unusual, I think. I pull a two ton roller with my Ram and I've used your cushioned hitch to smooth out the process. The roller Lunette just dropped over a 2" ball and then banged and jerked on the ball neck. Check out the photos for my adaptation.. I can flip it over and use the 2" ball! Have enclosed some photos. The cushion is holding up very well and it takes a beating!! Thanks

We have a Pink Tractor (google Mom's Pink Tractor) that we pull to events, mainly in Ks, Ok, Mo, and Ne. We have around 35 events a year we take the tractor to to promote breast cancer awareness. The other day my wife and I were leaving for an event, i had let a friend borrow the hitch to see how he liked it. In less then a mile from the house my wife started complaining about the trailer jerking. That is coming from a lady that really was upset when I paid that much for a hitch. She told me to stop and buy one. (a long and expensive trip, we had to stop at a casino so she could rest her neck) I could write a review with a lot of trailer talk, but, this story tells the story.

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

The product is good but a bit tideous and after installing it my bracket fell and it was a pain to get replace it support made me buy the replacement pieces and the bracket didnt come with just the bolts, and at the end they told i have i had to buy the whole unit because based on their system my truck didnt have issues with installement and the manufacturer didnt supply that bracket cause it special order so in general i dont recommend in my choice better to get it welded.

Hello The hitch works great as viewed in the enclosed pictures. If inverted it hits the bumper, of my Dodge 2500. The section that goes into the receiver is about 1/2" too short and hits the bumper. I have not tried it on my other vehicle to see if this is a problem. Kind Regards Leon D

A VERY nice piece that will set your mind at ease. Easy to adjust height. The ONLY thing I wish is there was an option to have different sized ball combinations. I mainly use 2" and NEVER use a 2 5/16"(or whatever the larger size is) and would prefer to have a 1 7/8" on the other side.

We bought this to tow our 3,000 lbs. boat with our Subaru Ascent with a 5,000 lbs. towing capacity. With the OEM ball mount, we could really feel every jolt and jiggle from hard stops, going over bumps in the road, and trailering down dirt roads. However, the dual cushion ball has really improved our trailing experience. Once we get up to speed, we hardly notice we are towing our boat. It's also great because some of the lakes we visit are down dirt roads, and the cushion makes this a much more pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone towing a boat or larger trailer with a SUV as it maintains that comfortable ride and the jostling of the trailer is much less noticeable.

A year has passed with my Convert-A-Ball Dual-Cushioned, Adjustable Ball Mount and I have nothing but praise for this mount. Once you find the correct height to have a perfectly level trailer there's no need to adjust. The beauty lies in the cushioning! Towing a Yamaha AR190 (3200lb boat and trailer combo) is silent. Even over the bumpiest pavement the tow is smooth. There is no harsh slamming when braking or taking off from the boat ramp. I don't know why everyone isn't running one of these, I wouldn't run any other hitch mount PERIOD! If you're on the fence, get off and buy one, you will NOT regret it!

I have been using the Rapid Adjustable Aluminum Ball Mount hitch for over a year averaging 3 days a week delivering new compact diesel tractors to customers. The hitch has held up very well with no signs of wear. The Teflon black caps on the ball are awesome when hitching up, there is no problem with the receiver sliding onto the ball when miss aligned. I have recommended this hitch to many of my friends and customers, they too are pleased with the hitch.

Sooooo....you sent me a product that was somehow put together backwards and I cannot take them apart somehow the ballhitch is stuck on the male portion backwards and defies gravity and doesn’t need a pin to stay on(becaue thier is no where to put the pin in cause it’s backwards

Wonderful product. I had the hitch installed in 10 minutes. The wiring was a little more tricky because it required running a power wire all the way to the battery. I towed my trailer from Florida to Tennessee and back. Etrailer is still wonderful to deal with as they always have been in the past. My hitch came in a couple of days. I wouldn't think of ordering from any one else.

Rusts easily. Chrome is non existent.

All the necessary parts arrived in perfect condition. Directions were spot on and the instructional videos were great.

WOW! What can I say? Easiest install ever! I called ahead of time and spoke with Katie about what I needed. She confirmed what I wanted would work with my van. I'm in the shipping business. The bar arrived in mint condition in a double wall box with the accessories boxed separately. After removing the hardware, reading the instructions and watching their video online, I went to work. The whole thing took less than 20 mins and I did not have to remove the exhaust. I actually used it to help hold the bar up. It took longer to remove the mud guard and rear body molding than to install. It is heavy, weighing in at about 65lbs but I did not even have to use a jack on the van. I'm very happy with my purchase and can now put bikes on the back of the van rather than in the van. I can tow our Cub Scout trailer and hall my sons football teams gear with the optional rear carrying racks. I also love the fact that the bar hides about 6" behind the bumper preventing injuries to the shins. The price was cheap and the install a breeze.
