Konig Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair
I've looked for better chains, but they don't exist. Unless your snow chains are konigs, they aren't worth the money, no matter how cheap or expensive they are. It's really very simple. Other chains break. Konigs don't.
Expensive but worth it I think. Very similar in design to other less expensive versions from a different mfr but these do appear to be of a higher quality. Easy to install once I figured it out during a trial run in the garage and will probably be the same in real conditions. You would not want the first time you take them out of the box to be when you need them on the side of a road in freezing weather. Excellent customer service as others have mentioned, and super quick free deliver.

Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
I live in Buffalo NU. We get some snow! My company work van absstinks in the snow even with extra weight and snow tires. I got stuck in a very long driveway and had to break out the chains. Tons of snow & wind blowing. Still was not much difficulty popping then on. Got out of my situation with ease!! Highly recommend these!
Jessica was very helpful selecting which chains to purchase. They fit well, the price was very competitive and arrived quickly. I had to deliver some material to a mountain location and needed to go down a couple of steep inclines. I put chains on all four tires of my truck and one axle on the trailer. I didn't have any slipping or sliding on an icy snow-packed road.

I have not had the opportunity to use them yet.
Easy on after untangling. Safely up the mountain with no problem. Easy off. Found that individually bagging each chainset reduced tangling and eased storage in the provided carrying case. Hope this helps. Thanks etrailer.com for being there.

Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
Im am very very satisfied with purchasing these chains from etrailer. First their web page was easy to navigate. Second the price was great. Then they were delivered as promised and quick. Once they arrived the quality is great and they came in a very nice carry case. Then I actually put them on in less then 5 minutes each and they went on without moving the truck like it says. so easy I couldn't believe it. I drove several times up and down my driveway without any problems with traction, and it was very slippery without them. I don't plan to use them all the time I plan to use them when I plow my driveway next year but just wanted to get prepared for next year. I put them over all season tires so I saved from getting snow tires for plowing. Great Job Team etrailer !!!
I bought these snow chains for an up coming ski trip to Colorado during Christmas time. Etrailer was a great resource in trying to decide what type of snow chain to purchase, especially for a South Texan. The video demonstration and previous review is what sold me on the type/brand. I tested them to ensure they fit properly and had them installed in a jiffy. Let's hope I never have to use them!

pewag Servo RS Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Links - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair
I bought, hoping never to use. But, if in a pinch, I wanted something that was simple to install and self tightening. I installed once just for practice, and to insure it was the proper fit. The Town & Country does not have a lot of front wheel well clearance, and this choice fits well.

Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - Twist Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair
These chains are great.
My Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains arrived on time and fit great. They were exactly as described. Luckily I did not have to use them at all last winter, but I did a test run and they were relatively easy to install and tighten. Having these in the trunk of my van allow me to stay in compliance with state "chains required" regulations and provides me with peace of mind. I would highly recommend this product. Customer service has been great.

Konig K-Summit Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
While I think this could be a fantastic set of chains, I believe the manufacturer could provide better instructions as to buying replacement parts. I tried installing these chains and one of the hex head bolts broke while tightening it up. I tried to find a replacement all over their website and also on etrailer but didn't find any. etrailer team was very kind to help me get in contact with the manufacturer to provide me with a replacement but they never responded back or appeared at all, and ended up just returning these because I could never use them but in the garage to test them one at a time using the same bolt for each set. I'm sure these could have been awesome in the snow plus they looked fantastic on my Kia Sorento 2022.
While I have not actually used them in the snow yet, my test installation in the garage went well.

Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - Twist Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair
The chains were great, however the blue tensioners broke at the worst time and I didn't even use them for more than 10 minutes before the tensioner broke.
Hard to put on and would not stay centered on the tire. Ended up taking them off as they were coming loose and knocking the wheel well

Konig K-Summit Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair
We have a BMW X3 in the foothills of the Sierras and need to have chains on hand. Normal chains are not an option for the BMW X3. On the surface theses seem like a very slick product. In reality maybe for some. There are limited Choices for the X3, The K-Summit Size: K45 seem OK but I have issues and concerns. Once received you have to fit the chains to your tires. DO HIS IN THE GARAGE BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE. Doing this on the road in the snow would be a pain. If you like IKEA you’ll love the instructions. (Well maybe not that bad). Go on-line and look at some videos. I needed to remove 4 “regulation elements” on each chain to fit our tires. Tools are provided but I used a metric socket and a cordless drill to help with this and it took maybe 5 minutes. With hand tools the 8 total “elements’ would have taken 20 or more. Now basically shove the chain more or less in place with plastic “pads at 10:00, 2:00, 4:00 and 8:00 O’Clock positions on the tire. Next make sure you have the correct size lug nut adapter and the proper spacing from the rim. Supposedly just put the adaptor on a lug, with the indicating tip toward the rim center and tighten the bolt with the supplied wrench. I found issues with the 17mm lug adapter and the 17mm BMW lug. The BMW lug is not very tall and the adapter never felt very securely seated to me. (Yes I made sure the adapter is seated correctly in the “cup”; instructions mention this). This may be better on other vehicles. Lastly, pull the crank until you see the red line on the nylon strap. Dive forward 50 feet or so so the chains will move onto the tire. We got out of the car to check and it still required a couple of short toe kicks to fully get them securely on. In summary they seem to “work OK”. I didn’t find any better options available for the X3. Once set up they are fairly easy to install with the exception of the lug nut connection which I found insecure and fussy on the X3. The plastic components give me concern for durability. Will they become brittle and break in cold temperatures or over extended use? Time will tell. Very costly if there is a failure on the road warrantee not withstanding.
I have a 2019 Subaru Forester. I purchased these based on the recommendations and information provided by this site. The Call Center rep was extremely helpful in finalizing more order by making sure it should be compatible with my vehicle and discussing shipping options. As for the tire chains, they fit well once I figured out how to install them. They are very easy to install once you get them adjusted for your tire and find the right fit combination between the lug nut size and the spacers. The only main issue I have is with the tire size and the recommended sizing of the tires. The instruction manual recommended removing one of the pins to allow for more chain radius. However, I had to remove six to get the chains on properly. However, once that was complete, the chains are incredibly easy to put on. The winch works well pulling the chains snug to the tires and is easy to adjust. Releasing is a little harder, but still easy.

I drive a 1996 Corvette and have for the past 20 years - year round. And that makes driving near impossible in Connecticut winters and hilly terrains. Until I got my Pewag chains. When the snow accumulates, on go my Pewags and away I go. Snow covered roads, no problem, up and down hills, no problem. I can put my Pewags on both tires in less than ten minutes and I am good to go. Great product! I highly recommend Pewag chains.
Fit snugly. Will be a little difficult in the snow but with a pair of gloves on it is doable. The red plastic rim protectors would protect rim from metal on metal contact. However, with my M-sport rims and Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires, the red plastic doesn't even come into contact with the rim due to the extended lip of the tire...but this does mean that the chain touches the outside surface of the tire--see pics. A little off putting scarring the sticky looking surface of the tire...but it is inevitable. On the inside of the wheel/tire, my concern was contact with the knuckle, strut, end link, stabilizer, etc. It does get close to the stabilizer end link, but doesn't touch...my pictures are shown before self centering while driving...so the spacing to end link would only get greater as I installed in worst case scenario to compare.

Glacier Tire Chains w/ Cam Tighteners - Ladder Pattern - Twist Links - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
The order was handled very fast, and I got the snow chains in no time. Those are chains for big vehicle, they are heavy and sturdy. Comparing to diamond pattern chains that I had perilously, the new chains almost impossible to tangle. It takes just 30 seconds to lay them correctly on the ground. In my garage I put them as instructed in the video on etrailer web page. But in real life scenario, on highway shoulder, I would probably lay them down on the ground, drive 2-3 feet forward and try to close the chains on top of the wheel (versus crawling on the ground and trying to reach behind the wheel). The tension system is simple and intuitive. Comparing again to diamond pattern chains, this tension system is much more robust. The only downside of those chains, they miss caring bag. The bag they where shipped in, has no zipper, and cannot be closed once open.
Great chains! Get them on as tight as possible with all the cams facing out, drive a short way and then tighten the cams where needed. Very easy install and the grip is excellent - got us safely through the snowstorm that just hit Tahoe.

Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w Cams - Ladder Pattern - V Bar Links - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
I had a heck of a time trying to get chains. No where locally, had the size I needed so I had to go online. etrailer.com was actually quick and easy to use. Found the ones I needed and got them ordered. It said it wasn't going to be delivered till the 27 or 28th... they came in on the 24th! Because of the fast delivery I was able to use them today and boy, did I need them! Snow, slippery, the road had kind of a step climb up to the job. Had a couple spots where I had to back up and take a different approach. Telling you, these chains were great! Thanks again for the quick delivery!
These are the best chains, hands down. I live off grid in an area where people constantly lose their vehicles or get them stuck. I need these half of the year and I've never been stuck, even with multiple feet of snow and ice. For most people I don't think you'll ever need replacement parts but for people like me they're easy to repair, diagnose, tighten etc. It's worth noting that you need some grip strength to tighten the cams, I haven't had issues but if you're a woman I'd recommend the "T" shape cam tightener etrailer sells so you can torque it better. It's important to note that these work great with even super knobby tires, so don't shy away if you need this style of chain. I can't recommend these enough, if you're a road traveler this is not the product for you but if you're on the farm, using this for a plow truck on an icy dirt road, going up snowy hills, going offroad in the snow, are camping in snowy wilderness etc this is for you. Just make sure you don't spin, because you can easily snap cross bars this way. etrailer is fantastic, as an aside and has been super helpful.

Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
These are great for my minivan on my rural mail route. Unplowed roads and driveways are no problem. They install quickly and easily and are a much smoother ride than the ladder style tire chains.
I've used these for one season now, and they've worked great. I put them on someone's car who didn't know how to drive with chains, and they spun out trying to get up a steep driveway. Sparks flew, but the chains held together with no damage. So they are apparently very durable. Very simple to install, and at an affordable price point. They come in a nice storage bag as well. I would highly recommend this brand.

Konig K-Summit Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair
Had these K-Summit "chains" for a Toyota Corolla for 5+ years, and they worked so well that I immediately bought a new pair to fit my 2013 Honda Accord (different tire size), and they also work great. Used them the other day in 6" of unplowed snow, on the hill I live on. As long as you go slow (I usually drive < 25 MPH) they just keep moving you forward. Two quick notes: 1) I noticed going uphill that my wheels started skidding, then stopping, and repeated that annoying cycle, which made it harder than usual to continue moving forward. I quickly figured out that this was the way the anti-spin system worked on the car (which doesn't want you to spin your wheels). I disabled that and that odd behavior stopped. 2) The fitting guide, which tells you how many "links" or "regulation elements" (as the instructions calls them) to remove to fit the chain to the tire, is assuming you're placing them on all-season tires. When you use snow tires, as I do, you have to remove more links to get the chain to fit correctly. This is not a problem, but it's useful to know. The representative from Thule, the company from whom I bought my original set, admitted that they should mention this in the instruction guide.
Bought chains for a 2015 3 Series BMW with M Sport Package. You just can't buy chains for these at your local auto parts store. Got exactly what I want, the Thule chains that have nothing on the back side of the tire, the Thule K-Summit series and the price was substantially less than buying directly from Thule. Service was quick, got updated status from eTrailer periodically, and overall an excellent experience. Having a video from eTrailer showing how to install was a great idea.

I just received the tire chains and the tag on the container that spells out the tire sizes they fit doesn't include the tire size I ordered. Its 225/75R 16. What now? We are leaving on a trip shortly and I needed those chains. Please call me asap. Thanks!!
By far the easiest chains to install that I have ever owned! And they fit snug and well. I'm saying this on the basis of 70 years of vehicle ownership and driving experience. These are for sure the right answer at my age (that's 92.). I still drive Snoqualmie Pass on Interstate 90 in Washington State, occasionally still nevessary in the season where carrying chains is mandatory.

These chains are amazing to say the least. 2012 GMC Terrain never needed to put chains on it, but we decided to take it on a snow trip. I have used chains in the past on other vehicles and all have been so hard to put on, on so many different levels. It made me hate to have to use them. Now the Pewag Snox Pro are the best chains I have ever used. WOW!!! They were on in less than 5-10 minutes and then taking them off was even easier. One snap of the lock, a few rough tugs, and pulled forward. Shook them of and packed them back up in the awesome case. Smooth ride considering I had chains on and great traction on snow and ice! I did not know I could love chains so much!
I got to test them out for the first time after 4 inches of snow going up a long, steep gravel road full of switchbacks and ice patches in Blue Ridge Mountains. They performed wonderfully and were pretty easy to put on. My only concern are the blue plastic parts that could be a weak point.

First, I don't think I've ever had better service from an online retailer. Just outstanding. The chains got here incredibly fast. The chains themselves, I've used these before when they were made by Thule. Overall they do not seem as heavy-duty but I could be wrong & will update after I've used them. This time I got the kind without the quick-release feature, as I've gotten that feature twice in the past & both times it was the first thing to go. I was still able to use the chains without it but it was a waste. So I got the other one, where one end slips inside the other & there isn't a quick release, but I expect it will be fine. Just not having to drive back & forth makes it easy for one person to put on the chains & that's really the best feature. I use these on an old honda civic & they've always worked really well. I got bungee-type tensioners as well, since the last ones were always a bit loose even with the "auto tensioner" on 13-inch rims. I will update after I use them but we haven't had any snow yet.
Just in time for the snow
