Andy: Hello, everyone, Andy, from etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the etrailer J-style kayak carrier on our 2020 Mazda CX5. One thing that is going to be great about this kayak carrier is going to be, it leaves you plenty of room on the other side of your roof bars for a cargo basket, or even a bike rack. You have a lot more options and space on that side of the vehicle to do so. One of the really cool features that I like personally is going to be the fold-down option. So whether you're carrying your kayak or not, and it's stored, but you don't want to have to an uninstall the carrier, all you can do is flip down the knobs and put it in a folded stored position.

Andy: Hello, everyone. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're going to take a look at the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier on our 2020 Mazda CX-5.One of the nice things about the Rhino-Rack Kayak Carrier are going to be it is a simple and slim design, so whenever you have a cargo basket or, let's say, a bike rack that's mounted on the roof of your vehicle, you can adjust this and mount it the furthest point away from everything else. And it's very, very simple and easy to load and unload since it has a bigger opening to get your kayak in and out.So there are four contact points you're going to find in your pack with your kayak carrier. There's going to be two blue straps and two black straps. The blue ones are going to be used on the front and the rear.

Andy: Hello everyone. Andy here with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Kuat class two kayak carrier on our 2020 Mazda CX5. One of the things that is great about having this J style kayak carrier is going to be it gives you plenty of room if you happen to have a cargo basket or even a bike rack on the other side. We've adjusted this one a little bit closer. Also, since it has the wider mouth on it, it's going to be very easy to load and unload even with the vehicle being a little on the taller side.It does have four tie-down points that you're going to need.

Hey, everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the etrailer J-style kayak carrier on our 2015 Mazda CX5. This is gonna be a great way of transporting your kayak to and from your destinations. You're gonna have a weight capacity of up to 150 pounds. And what I like about the J-style kayak carriers is you have all this leftover space on your crossbars. These are 46 inch crossbars, and we're gonna have about 31 and a half of usable, leftover crossbar space, so plenty of room for another kayak, cargo basket or any other rooftop accessory. I really like that this carrier provides all the straps you're gonna need and you're not gonna have to pay for anything extra.

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5 we're going to be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi, a stand-up paddle board carrier with a 2-board capacity, part number TH810. With our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System already installed on the Mazda we'll begin our test fit by placing the front half of our carrier onto the front load bar. Here we'll bring the black rubber coated metal straps around the underside, fit the one closest to us into the foot of the carrier, and secure it by tightening down the small gray knob. With this side secure we'll go to the other side and repeat that same tightening process. With the front half taken care of we'll now grab the rear half, place it onto the rear bar, and again we'll want to see those black rubber coated metal straps come around the underside. We'll fit the one closest to us into the foot of the carrier. We're going to repeat the same tightening process that we used for the front here on the rear half.
