SeaSucker Vacuum Cup

The SeaSucker Board Rack is quick and easy to mount. To install the rack make sure the mounting surface is clean and place the rack on your roof, trunk, or window glass then press the pump several times until the orange band disappears. To break the seal and remove the rack from your vehicle simply pull the T-shaped tab up and towards the center of the cup. As suction decreases over time the plunger will extend from the cup. When the orange indicator band shows simply repump the plunger.

I did a bit of testing to figure out how long it would take for the vacuum to loose pressure. I left the racks installed over night following the installation instructions and when I checked on the sucking cups the next day, there was one that needed to be pumped twice, but outside of that all of them were holding on nice a tight. After strapping up a 12.6 Slingshot Nitro Standup Paddle board and driving an hour up the road. Everything held up perfectly. I did not exceed 55MPH on my way up just to make sure all was well. On my way back I went up to 65MPH and no issues. I would recommend having a none lint cloth with you to clean the surface and the suction cups prior to re-installing the SeaSucker back onto the car roof. Overall, very confident in it's ability to hold the board in place and not have extra hardware to install permanently on my Rover! 445162

Comments

I absolutely stand by this product. I still use them quite often and are holding up great with no issues at all. I have recommended them to friends and even family members. The ease of use and not having to carry a permanent fixture a top of your vehicles roof is excellent and quiet. Permanent roof racks can cause a lot of wind turbulence diminishing the quietness of your daily commute. I am very happy with them.

We have two sets of racks. The one for the Tesla model 3 is superb and reliable and stays on all the time. The model x has a different roof/door system and although it works well- better than anything else- a shorter cross piece would better fit on one half of the roof and allow at least one falcon door to open. 686919

These work great on my 2013 Beetle.. Easy to put on and remove..I left them on overnight, had to repump 2 of the 6 just a little.. No big deal .. I carried a 10 foot SUP and it was fine . I drove up r to 60mph and had no problems.. 574476

Very pleasantly surprised. I use this to carry a board on an AMG GTS and it worked great. The cups stuck easily to the glass roof, and it was rock solid at 60 mph. I'm sure it would have been fine at higher speeds but I didn't feel compelled to test it. Installs in minutes and stores easily. The only recommendation I have is if you care much about your car to think about getting straps that have the neoprene padding around the buckles so you don't ding/scratch anything if you accidentally drop one while securing/removing your board. 548258

Do you have a question about this Watersport Carrier?

  • SeaSucker Vacuum Cup Mounting Capacity, Function, and Fit
  • The SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack - Vacuum Cup Mount - Folding - 48" Long # 298-SX6100 does simply use the vacuum cups as the sole securing factor. Each vacuum cup is rated for 210 lbs pull strength, so this system is claiming 1,200 lbs of pull strength and they have been tested with cargo at highway speeds without issue. The strength is really incredible...I've attached a video to assist. For increased security and theft deterring, they recommend the window mounted cable anchor...

  • Surfboard Carrier Options for 2016 Ford Fusion
  • To transport your two surf boards on an Aero style roof rack like the Rhino-Rack 2500-Series racks, shown on the linked page along with all options for your Fusion, I suggest using one of the pad or block style surf board carriers shown on the other linked page. As an example, Rhino-Rack offers their pad and tie-down kit # RRRWP05 which includes a set of two 33-1/2-inch long crossbar pads along with tie downs. Other sizes are offered too and similar products are available from Thule,...

  • Thank you for the photo of your Ram's hard tonneau cover on which you wish to transport a kayak and/or stand-up-paddleboard (SUP). You have several ways to go here. The easiest lowest-cost option is to use foam block style carriers like # S65156 which can rest directly on the cover without the weight and expense of a rack. These foam blocks can also be used on rack bars if you prefer. No permanent modifications to your cover are required. We also offer a vacuum cup carrier from SeaSucker,...

The SeaSucker Surfboard Carrier - Vacuum Cup Mounted - 1 Surfboard or Paddleboard # 298-BX1806 will fit on your 2014 VW Beetle and has 6 vacuum cups. Each cup on any of their carriers is rated for 210 lbs and has been tested for speeds up to 140 mph. • SeaSucker Kayak Carrier
  • SeaSucker doesn't currently produce a dedicated kayak rack, however, if you have a kayak that is less than 45 pounds, you may be able to use the SeaSucker Surfboard Carrier, part # 298-BX1806 as a viable alternative. The Surfboard/SUP carrier does include the tiedowns for securing the kayak to the racks, but not a bow or stern kit. For that, I recommend using the Malone Quik-Lash, part # MPG308 attachment points and their Speed-Link system, part # MPG309. This will give you a quick...

I would normally recommend a ladder rack, however there are no good fits for your planned tonneau cover addition. Since you're looking for 100% quick removal, your hands down best option is the SeaSucker Surfboard Carrier, part # 298-BX1806. This innovative rack mounts using extremely strong vacuum cups to the roof of your vehicle, completely bypassing...
