24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.
Purchased in March 2023. I really like the size, it holds a lot. The carrier is very sturdy, well made and assembled very easily. I purchased the light kit but found wiring could have been a little longer to dress the cables neatly down toward the hitch.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I've been using this Cargo Carrier on my 4 Runner Venture for about a year now. I Purchased this item to haul extra gear to Nags Head from Northwestern Virginia. Installation was a breeze and it's very, very sturdy. I had two Yeti coolers packed with ice and drinks and there was no wobbling at all. I'm a 197 pounds and I was standing on it after I installed it just to check for durability and this thing is a beast. I also used this as a rod holder while on the beach and I caught a 6 foot black tip shark. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item and I would recommend to a friend.
This is a substantial, well-made product at exactly the size I needed - smaller than many, and with sides that keep items secure. It was very easy to assemble, with all parts included and clearly sorted, and with all pieces manufactured to cleanly align. The item arrived promptly, packed to protect the shipment but without waste. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a high-quality cargo carrier.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
I am very pleased with the quality for the price.Just the right size for my 2017 Chevy Trax.the "U" bolts that are used to clamp the basket to the roof cross bars were a bit long so I cut them shorter & installed rubber caps on top of each stud. This keeps the studs from damaging items in the bssket.See pictures.
The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
We just installed our carrier. We love that this is going to free up a lot of space for our vacation traveling. Very heavy duty and bigger than i was thinking it would be.The pin that holds the carrier in the hitch was not included. It would have been an added bonus if it was.
Easy to assemble, nice and solid cargo tray! Bought it with the hitch bracket. Note: no hitch pin included.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This is great cargo basket: solid and secure, easy assembly, well designed. The angled neck keeps the basket well away from the ground; I haven’t had any problems with it bottoming out. My first use was actually on a trip back from Florida following Powered Paragliding training. I was intending to bring back just a Paramotor (which would have stood vertically inside the basket), but ended up bringing back a whole Trike assembly! Mounted it on the basket as shown, and it rode just fine back through four states. Got a lot of looks on the way home! I concur with an earlier reviewer that a neat trick is to use a stabilizer strap from the hitch to the corner of the basket. There is plenty of slop in the receiver when the neck is inserted, and a short ratcheting tie down cancels the rattle effectively. I’m very pleased with this purchase; and while I don’t plan to haul around anything as big as that trike, I look forward to many more years of use from it!
First look - not yet loaded up. Ordered this because the less expensive Curt (C18110) was out of stock. It seems like a worthwhile upgrade anyway, with rounded corners and better tie-down options. Finish seems high quality. Significant play exists in the hitch receiver (Curt C11276 - gap visible in photo) to the point that I ordered a hitch immobilizer and don't plan to test the carrier with a full load until that's installed.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
Purchased this 1 year ago. Worked awesome for a 9.000 mile cross country trip with three off road adventures at geology tour road Joshua tree, west side road Death Valley, and kingman wash lake mead. No rattle, always secure, great clearance. Would purchase again.
It works, but I only put two electric bikes on it. The mesh seems to bend pretty easy.

20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
This carrier was super easy to assemble. It is a bit heavy but I was able to mount it onto my hitch alone. I’m using an anti-rattle lock and they work great together.
Installation: Easy Assembly: Easy Attached to: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13163 Use: Camping equipment. Cooler, Chairs, Sleeping bags, firewood, etc. Like: The fact that it folds is a huge positive. What I would change: perhaps adding a ring or two on the sides to allow for bungee cords or rope. Because the hitch is already a bit low on the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander (stock wheels, tires, suspension) the back part of the basket can bottom out rather easily. It has nothing to do with the carrier itself though. I would definitely recommend this product! I'm going to use it again in a month for our next camping trip.

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Carrier and box will be moved to hitch on 209 Solitude Rv to provide extra cargo carrying ability
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.

20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Great quality and serves its purpose. I wish I ordered the slightly bigger one to fit the bins and items I use it for. For example, a white standard igloo cooler doesn’t fit the way I need it to maximize loading capacity. I highly recommend a stabilizer to prevent wobble.
Very nice quality. Took one person and two wrench about 15 minutes to install the cargo carrier from box. It is very sturdy and the finish is very good. I really like the added height this specific carrier provides.

19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This cargo carrier worked great. Used it to move a rototiller, 2 hour trip. No damage or deformation to the carrier despite the tiller being near the top of the weight limit. The hitch bolt held the carrier firmly in place. It doesn't come with the lights, I installed light kit Item # 52014. Just had to drill four small holes (I knew this light kit wasn't specifically designed for this carrier, just wanted something cheap). Works great on a Town Car, lots of ground clearance. I'm very happy with this product.
This cargo carrier is sturdy and works well on a Mazdaspeed 3. The rise and slight angle make it so clearance is not an issue. The carrier is very easy to put together. I did install the 8 bolts through the connecting plates in reverse of the instructions so cargo would not be scratched or torn. It adds so much cargo space for our growing family. The only drawbacks are a lack of license plate frame and reflectors which are easily added with very little cost. I used a Cruiser license mount plate with zip ties and Reese DOT approved reflectors. I don't plan to use the carrier at night but there are many license plate lights that can be added as well. I also purchased the Rola carrier bag for hauling luggage and other indoor items.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Greetings, I am giving these items 3? Because I was offered alternative products that did not fit together. Originally, I intended to purchase a roof rack cargo basket type and a spare tire holder from Yakima manufacturer that go well together, but one of them wasn’t in stock. So, after 3 weeks waiting time, I was offered alternative items via etrailer website, and I accepted them…after all, they are the experts. I got the recommended items through UPS, then I assembled them by myself. The roof rack cargo basket fit well on my car, but the spare tire holder was not compatible with the roof rack cargo basket. They couldn’t be assembled together. I submitted my claim to return the spare tire holder. Now, I have not achieved my goal to carry my spare tire. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customers is critical to maximize customer satisfaction. I am sure both products are good, but they are not compatible together, even though they were manufactured by the same company. Distributors should know better! I returned one item and I hope to be refunded.
Great product. Easily puts together and I was able to install on our 2016 Toyota Highlander OEM roof rails with no problems. The mounting brackets slide to make for a easy fit. Have taken it on two long road trips with zero issues last summer one to the montains and one to the beach. Was able to fit our jogging stroller on in the basket. Had some heavy rain on one trip and seen no signs of water getting into the rails as that was a concern of mine when researching the different racks. The high sides allowed for easy tie downs for the weather bag we put the stroller in. Seemed to add a little road noise with nothing in it but that is to be expected when hauling things on the roof but the wind deflector seemed to keep the noise down. Easy to put on and off with a single person able to lift it. Great product, great fit for the car. Plan on using it for some more upcoming trips.

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Black
I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.
Terrible build quality , crooked label, lock /latch does not work unless I remove backplate, after a couple times of opening and closing rivet came off latch. For $[XX] would think bettet quality. Seems like Harbor Freight

Yakima MegaWarrior Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 52" Long x 48" Wide
The MegaWarrior is a great Roof Rack. The only thing I didn’t like was the fit to the roof rails. My rails that I purchased from you are shaped like aircraft wings and the basket clamps seem to be designed for round rails. However I was able to complete the attachment and the rack remained secure for a 2,000 mile trip.
Took a few months to get because covid-19 slowed production but worth the wait. It's awsome

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 39" Wide x 7-1/4" Tall - 150 lbs
I love the rack and the extended length is great on my Sequoia. I am disappointed with the finish on it as the connector plates are already showing signs of rust….. I like it enough that I’m going to repaint it with something more suited to our climate…
The rack and extension arrived in sturdy boxes, well packed and no damage in shipping. The parts fit together easily. The welds left something to be desired, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. As a precaution against corrosion,I got some plasti-dip, which is a rubberized vinyl sealant and sealed all the places where moisture could get into the various tubes of the rack. I was satisfied with the quality of the powder coating on all the parts. The mounting system to the roof rack is interesting and appears well-designed. The assembly and installation instructions are OK, but could have been written better. For example, there is an extra tightening knob for the U-bolts, but no description if it is there as a spare.

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Matte Black
This was purchased off of the etrailer.com website as a "damaged" item at a significantly reduced price. The description on the website described the damage very well and the cargo box has no functional issues of any kind. Also, the cargo box arrived much earlier than I anticipated. Furthermore, when I noticed that the box arrived with the load securing straps missing I emailed etrailer customer support and they had Thule send me two new ones right away. Couldn't be more pleased with etrailer and this cargo box. It fits my 2014 Honda CRV with factory crossbars with just a little bit of rear hatch interference (restricts opening by maybe an inch or two, but can still fully use the rear hatch). Can't speak to durability quite yet as I've only used the cargo box a few times to transport skis and snowboard and plan to use it year-round for road trips. A really great, simple cargo box!
This was a much needed addition for a drive back to Tucson, AZ from a three month stay in Portland. ME, as we had acquired some extra things and needed more space than our 2015 Honda CRV provided. This fit on top of the rhino vortex aero roof rack I also purchased from e-trailer perfectly. The cargo box functioned as expected, and although we ultimately could have used a slightly larger cargo box, this one worked great for giving us extra space in our car for the drive home. It was easy to mount and opened easily, although it was a bit tricky to load, a step ladder would have helped. It was tough to close, we had to move some stuff around to get it to latch, but I appreciated that it would not lock unless the latches could fully engage, which made me feel like it was going to remain closed while traveling. We wasted no time putting stickers on it, and added more along the drive home, which was fun. We traveled through many different types of weather, it was late spring and was rainy in the beginning of our trip, and very hot towards the end of our trip, and the contents were in perfect condition when we arrived home. There was zero water damage inside, and nothing was damaged from being in the heat. Of course there was some reduced gas mileage and added road noise when traveling, but nothing too unbearable. Also, service and shipping from etrailer was excellent.

32x48 Reese Steel Solo Cargo Carrier and Folding Ramp for 2" Hitches - 400 lbs
Very fast shipping, I like that.now about this rack, very well built and easy to put together.ramp is ok but not good enough for me,to steep, took to a welder shop and had another 2ft added, now it's 6ft long and folds up the same way,now it works great.this rack sits about 4ft from the truck so I'm putting lights on this and new stickers, the ones that are on suck, they fell off.now the receiver of the rack, can be turned to make the rack lower but to me it's to low and will drag in dips so I have it up high, its about 2ft now and can't drag that why I added to the ramp, make it work for you.now this rack does wobble some so buy a hitch stabilizer for 20 bucks that stops that problem. This is still better than dragging around a trailer and still I can park in a parking lot so it works for me
cargo carriers work great! we use them for hauling mowers for our landscaping business so they get daily abuse and hold up very well

SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 cu ft - Black
Our SportRack cargo box has worked as hoped / advertised since we bought it over a year ago. What initially attracted me to this particular product was the size and design - it holds A LOT, and the way it opens from the back has helped protect our stuff from getting wet and damaged.
The sportrack vista xl is great! This was our first attempt at a roof mounted cargo box and it has preformed exceprionally well! I purchased this as a gift for my wife, to go on her Subaru Crosstrek. We live in western NC, and have used this to go to the outer banks of NC, eastern Tennessee, and even to bring home supplies from Sam's Club! It's super easy and quick to install, even for one person, and we've been fortunate enough to not have a single leak yet; even though we've been through heavy downpours! And there's plenty of room! If you're in the market for a rooftop cargo box this is the way to go.
Reese Solo Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Ford Escape
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Reese Explorer cargo carrier on a 2020 Ford Escape. etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Ford Escape
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at E-Trailer. And today we're taking a look at the E-Trailer folding cargo carrier on a 2020 Ford Escape. Now, having an Escape is a great option to have an SUV that can take you on a bunch of different adventures. But sometimes when you're loaded up with people or supplies, you kinda run that space. And instead of having to move to a larger vehicle, there's ways around that.
Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2018 Ford Escape
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Yakima SkyBox NX 16. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2018 Ford Escape. If you are looking for a way to add some more cargo space to your Ford Escape, maybe you're going on a long trip and you need to get some stuff out of the way and out of your hatch, or maybe you're carrying around some gear and you want something that still makes it kind of accessible without taking up room in your car. The SkyBox is one of my favorite roof boxes because of its versatility. It can carry all types of gear. It has a good amount of space without sacrificing premium features like locks and being aerodynamic.
Rhino-Rack XTray Pro Cargo Basket and 2 Bike Carrier Review - 2018 Ford Escape
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we have the Rhino-Rack XTray Pro Cargo Basket, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2018 Ford Escape. If you're looking for a way to carry around some extra cargo on your Ford Escape, whether it's because you have a long road trip and you're running out of space inside your vehicle or maybe there's just some large bulky items that you'd prefer not dirtying up the interior of your car, that's where a basket like this comes in handy. It's just gonna be a large basket, so your items can get piled up on top of it, but you do have to be mindful that since it is open to the elements, you have to be considerate of those elements and making sure that everything is strapped down. So if that's something that you're interested in, let's take a look. This is gonna be a large basket and I do like how it fits our Ford Escape because it almost completely fills in that roof fitting in between our raised rails, but also not sticking too far out.
Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Review - 2018 Ford Escape
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today we have the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Basket. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2018 Ford Escape. If you're looking for a way to expand your cargo space, maybe you have a big trip planned and not everything's gonna fit inside your Ford Escape, or maybe you want to carry around the gear for the other accessories you're carrying on your roof, that's where the Yakima SkinnyWarrior can come in handy. It's gonna be a skinny roof basket with dimensions of 58 inches long by 23 inches wide, so if you needed to carry other things, like a kayak, or a roof-mounted bike rack, you can do so while still having that extra cargo space. This is how much space you have left over for those other accessories. Now, I do have this on 60 inch long Yakima bars, and we have it on the overhang of those bars, but even if we had a roof rack without overhang, there'd still be room left over for those other accessories.
Flint Hill Goods Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2018 Ford Escape

This is gonna be a very quick and easy way to expand your cargo space by putting things onto your roof. Now, you do need a roof rack in order to use this basket.
Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Escape
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com And today we're going to be taking a look at this Rhino Rack rooftop cargo basket here on our 2017 Ford Escape. Now, as far as rooftop baskets go, this one is one of my personal favorites just for the way it looks. I think it looks really nice up here on the escape, but it's going to be really functional too. It's gonna give you a lot more space to add some luggage on a road trip, or maybe you're going hiking. You've got some muddy gear that you don't want to put it inside your vehicle.
Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Escape
Hey, guys. Today, we have a 2017 Ford Escape and we're gonna do a test fit of the Yakima Off Grid rooftop cargo basket. Now a cargo basket, if you're not familiar with it, it works just like a cargo box, the only difference being that it doesn't have an enclosed lid. So everything's gonna be out in the open. So that's something you do want to keep in mind that when you want to load any excess cargo, luggage, anything like that to where you want to create more space in the inside of your vehicle. It is all gonna be exposed to the elements.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Escape
Today on our 2016 Ford Escape we're going to be taking a look at the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. Part number is C18110. This CURT cargo carrier has a weight capacity of up to 300 pounds. We're going to start off by taking a few measurements just to give you an idea how it works with the Escape. The closest distance to the back of the vehicle is going to be . let's get it from the furthest point of the vehicle .. going to be about 6-1/2".
MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Escape
Today on our 2016 Ford Escape we're going to be taking a look at the MaxxTow Cargo Carrier, 48 by 21 inches, for 2 inch hitches, Part Number MT70422. This is an aluminum cargo carrier, so it's nice and light. Since it's pretty flat, it's going to be easy to store in your garage or maybe in the trunk of your car. The raised edge that goes all the way around measures just about 2 inches and the frame of it at the widest point is about 5-1/4, so it would be pretty easy to put this up against a wall somewhere and keep it out of the way. I'll give you a few more measurements here. The closest distance to the back of our Escape is going to be just about 4-1/4 inches and the overall length that we've added to our Ford is going to be about 26-1/4.
Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Escape
Today on this 2016 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the 23 x 60 Stromberg Carlson cargo carrier, part number CC-100. This cargo carrier has a carry capacity of 500 pounds. It has this mesh floor in the bottom here which makes it easy to clean. All around the cargo carrier we'll have these points here which will serve as tie down points for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. On either side we're going to have these smaller three holes here which you can install either a reflector or a tail light if you needed to and then there's these two holes here which in case what you're hauling blocks off your license plate you can actually transfer it down here. I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. Measuring from the bumper to this edge here it's going to be about 26 inches that we've added to the rear of the vehicle.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Escape
Today on our 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be taking at a the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches, part number C18151. This cargo carrier has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and has an expanded steel floor to allow any dirt or debris to fall through, has a raised edge going all the way around, which makes a good attachment point for any straps or bungees to keep your cargo in place and that's going to sit up from the platform by about 5 and a half inches. The overall distance, we've added to the Escape from the back of the bumper there, is about 32 and a half inches and the closest point of the front of the carrier is going to be about 11 and a half. Although, this point in the shank would be the first thing to make contact if you we're to put that in the hitch too far. This one actually make contact with your bumper. The ground clearance at the back of our carrier, to the bottom side here, is going to be about 11 and 3 quarters of an inch off the ground. Now this Escape does have a dual exhaust which is going to come out pretty far away from this carrier. That's a nice thing about this folding style is that it sits pretty far from our vehicle but just to give you an idea of how far the exhaust actually is, it's going to be about 15 and half inches away.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Escape
Today on our 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt cargo carrier, which is 20 by 60 for 2-inch hitches, part number C18150. This cargo carrier, again, has a dimension of 20 inches by 60 inches. It has a raised rail all the way around. Let me get a measurement on that. It's about 5 and a half inches, so it'll give you good stability for your gear going front to back there. Some other measurements are the closest distance to the back of the escape.
Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Ford Escape
Today on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're going to be doing a test spin of the Car Pod Walled Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be 23 inches wide by 47 inches long and with it's sturdy, steel construction, is going to offer a 450 pound weight capacity. It does have a two inch folding shank that, once it's collapsed, will tuck against the back side of your vehicle. Again, with that two inch shank, you're only going to be able to attach it to your two inch receiver. It will attach to your two inch receiver using a hitch pin and clip. A hitch pin and clip is not included.
MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Ford Escape
Today, on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Maxxtow wheelchair and scooter carrier. Now, this is going to be part #MT70106. It's going to be 30 inches wide, 50 inches long, and offering a 40 inch pivoting ramp. With its sturdy steel construction and its capability to plug into your 2 inch receiver, it offers a 500 pound weight capacity, as well as a folding shank that you can stow it away, and an anti-tilt/rattle device here on the back end. That's going to make it a lot more sturdy on the back side of the vehicle and not rattle around. So, let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement at about 10 and 1/8 inches.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Ford Escape
Today, on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're going to be doing a test fit of the CURT cargo carrier. This CURT cargo carrier is going to be part number C18151. It's going to measure 20 inches wide, 60 inches long, and with it's sturdy steel construction it's going to have a 500lb weight capacity. Now the nice thing about this cargo carrier is it is going to have to have that folding shank that will allow you to tuck it up against the back of the vehicle when you don't have it in use, and it's ability to plug into your 2 inch receivers using that 2 inch shank, so you can carry those higher weight capacities.
