Best 2020 Ford Escape Roof Racks

I installed this by myself. It was very easy . Sometimes I found the instructions vague but the online installation video helped me when I wasn’t understanding what to do. I would recommend this product to my friends for sure. It looks great on my Escape. Loading up the SUP Boards in the morning. Can’t wait.

2016 Ford Escape Naked Roof... Easy to put together, easy to put on. Haven't actually used them yet, but the weekend is coming. They got here quickly and with no problems. (the J carriers are from some place else)

The Rhino Rack is very well made. I installed it my self on our 2016 Ford Escape, but had an assist from my wife to fine tune it at the end. There was no whistling or any other distracting wind noise on our 3,500 mile drive to visit family out West. A Sear's Cargo Box was easily mounted to the Rhino Rack and it remained centered and secured at western highway speed limits plus. The included locks on the roof mounts were the selling point for me. The Rhino Rack remained securely mounted to the roof with no additional adjustments or tightening being needed. Great Product. Donna P. @ etrailer was super with the order.

Very nice racks, detailed instructions and perfect fit for my 2014 Ford Escape. You get what you pay for.

We installed the roof rack and box for ski season and a roadtrip from Colorado to Florida. The whole roof set up does come along with more wind noise but that is to be expected. We drove for days at 75+mph with tons of strong cross wind at times. I was admittedly a little worried but every time I checked the roof but all was in order. Impressed.

First a kudos to Katherine B. at etrailer.com for being so helpful and knowledgeable about the roof rack I purchased for my Ford Escape. Installation took about an hour and is locked tight in place. The solid feel of the product gives me the confidence I was seeking to safely haul my canoe without issue. I'm very pleased with the finished product and it looks great too. The only issue I had was with one rubber cup piece that attaches to the unit. It keeps slipping down and does not fit tightly in place. A little Gorilla glue solved that problem quickly. I would like to recommend before putting the rubber strip on the underside of the rack, you leave it on the roof of the car on a warm sunny day to make it more malleable to fit the groove. With that done, I am very pleased. I will be doing a 500 + mile trip to the Adirondacks later this month with my canoe and grand-nephews for some camping and fishing and am anxious to see how the rack performs on a lengthy trip. Lastly, I must give etrailer a shout-out for the great deal I received. Comparable racks are many dollars more. Thanks etrailer.

Rhino rack with kayak rack for Ford Escape. Easy install very sturdy. Kayak attachments fold down when not in use. Etrailer delivered!

Great rack. Very little wind noise on my 2017 Escape. The only issue is a slight one. I wish the allen key to tighten the mechanism was longer so it would clear the end of the rack. Other than that minor little bit, it is a great piece.

Easy install, directions smooth, looks great. Waiting for first payload. Fit the 2018 Ford Escape very comfortably.

Everything went together without a hitch and really looks good installed. * We plan on carrying our 12 1/2' SUP's on the roof rack when we head out to the lakes. * It saves us time as our SUP's are inflatable, however it takes a bit of time to pump them up once we get there. Now it's just loosen them up and we're ready to go. Great job etrailer, I would definitely buy more products from your organization!!

Free delivery that showed up in 3 days!!! Can't beat it. The crossbars with the Control Towers and LandingPad 9 fit perfectly on my Honda Element. Had them installed in about 30 mins. Don't have my cargo box yet and wanted to test strength, so I had my 110lb wife standing on them with no issues (yes, the car was parked). Plan to take a long camping trip next week with a cargo box on top...wife will be in the vehicle:-)

I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.

Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.

The Rhino Racks Vortex Aero are solid. My first drive with them was to Brighton Utah from Riverside California. They were not only secure throughout the drive and hard winds, they were also reasonably quiet. On top I attached a Thule Force L 628 roof box and it fits perfectly. The only complaints I have are how difficult it was to install the racks to my fixed points. It took several friends, a mechanic, and two days to get everything right.

Bought and installed on my 2019 Honda Fit. I’ve driven from Chicago to Big Bend in TX and to the Black Hills in SD with a cargo box attached and have had zero issues. Installation is simple enough and are easy to take off when needed.

Thule rack looks great on my Kia Telluride. The pieces took a while to get to me because they were on backorder but it's not etrailer, they were on backorder everywhere. I messed up a piece of the rubber while installing and etrailer sent me another one free of charge. Would definitely recommend etrailer.

Superb experience with etrailer.com. From order to delivery in 2 days. All components in perfect condition and very useful video links to help assemble and mount. I am very impressed by the overall customer experience so far given by etrailer!

Disclosure: I have not had the chance to use the product yet. This review is for Etrailer specifically and the purchase process on these products. I am new to these racks so I read an Etrailer forum on what parts to buy. Trusting their help, they recommended the Yakima landing pads, the Highline towers, and the HD bars; so I ordered. At no time did they or the computer ask me to order the metal adaptor to ATTACH the bars. Being new to the rack system, they should have been on top of this and disclosed that I would not be able to use ANY of my products till I had these tiny metal adaptors. I.E. "Have you bought the correct adaptor to mount your bars?" Anything would have helped! Now I have all three things sitting in my garage collecting dust with a pending order to another company for the tiny metal adaptors, making the delay another week and a half. This puts a sour taste in my mouth.

They slide a little, but do the job

I am a fifty-four year old single woman and being able to install these roof racks by myself makes me feel empowered!! I watched a video emailed with my delivery confirmation of an installation on a similar vehicle all the way through first, and then watched it again as I did the steps myself, pausing when I needed to. The products appear to be of high quality, were packaged/shipped neatly and it was easy to organize everything for installation. I couldn't be happier!
