Best 2018 Toyota RAV4 Roof Racks

This is a great rack on my 2018 RAV4. Fit is perfect and it went right on within about 15-20 minutes. The etrailer YouTube videos helped. I have made four orders from etrailer and all were quick and accurate. They are my go-to source for trailering stuff.

We received Item in good condition even though the box was received damaged. Installation was easy except the rubber insert. It is indicated in instructions , The rubber inserts are applied after you install the crossbars on the vehicle. (next to last page). Recommendation: The rubber inserts should be installed on crossbars before you install them on vehicle. The allen key is a little tricky because it prevents you from making a full turn. A shorter allen key was used instead. The item arrived earlier than expected which was great.

I purchased the Malone MPG216 racks for a 2018 RAV4. The product was delivered in excellent condition. The installation was relatively easy to do. I bought the 58 inch wide racks instead of the 50 inch racks. They fit the vehicle well. The extra overhang due to the additional 8 inch crossbar width did prevent me from making 360 degree turns with the supplied allen wrench so it took me an extra 10 minutes to tighten the rack down to the siderails. This was not a big deal and I like the extra 8 inches. The I will post an update later on to let you know how well they function under load on the road. The Etrailer customer service has been excellent so far. Jason promptly answered some initial questions I had about another rack I was considering. His advice was helpful.

After a year of owning these and many kayak trips these held up great on my 2023 Rav4 LE

Bought these to go on our RAV4 Prime. They look much better than the standard Toyota racks, were easy to install, and have stood the test of time a year later (making it through a New England winter just fine). we’ve used them to hold a Yakima Rocketbox without problems.

Have been rocking my Yakima rack from etrailer.com for a year now. I am using rack in conjunction with a Tepui tent. Once I added the air deflector, I would say it's the perfect setup. The Yakima gives more clearance over the factory rack, so I was able to get my hands under it to secure the tent hardware. If you're thinking of upgrading your factory rack, I would not hesitate to use etrailer.com

I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.

This is my second rhinorack crossbars for use on an SUV WITHOUT pre-existing factory rail ( ie "naked", it is a clamp system that goes around the edges where the frame goes in for the doors). My first was on my subaru 2010 Forrester, this one for my 2023 RAV4. I am overall very pleased with the product, my subaru had it on for years, without issues. The RAV4 product looked the same, but I had to change a couple of the measurements by a few MM for a tight fit, unlike with the subaru. The measurement sheet they send is specific for your make and model, and I just don't think it was exact for my RAV4. However, the hardware is the same and works the same and is solid. I'm not sure why they gave me 2 extra taller bases for the rear crossbars, they just didn't look right and I used the the 4 bases that came in the box, rather than the 2 extra slightly taller ones they sent for use on the rear crossbars. in other words, they sent me six bases. One star off for the slightly inexact measurements. Aside from being solid and doing the job, the best feature is the PRICE, compared to having the dealer install rails, or a company installing a similiar product, which was about double what I paid, plus a couple hours of work and jiggering.

One bar slid out on our first road trip. The "grip" that it slides into can't be adjusted. I am in communication with Yakima about this as Etrailer said that's the route that I would need to go. Very frustrating.

From start to finish, the folks at etrailer -- and I spoke to several people there, so it was a consistent corporate vibe -- were fantastic to deal with. There were delays in getting my product that were on the supplier side and out of etrailer's control, yet etrailer folks kept me up to date and also worked on a customized solution. My goal was to be able to carry my surfboard on the roof of our 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe to the beach more than 3 hours away. But the particular model we had had no existing racks, no recessed areas, nothing to fix racks to. Not even the dealer had a solution. I was sh*t out of luck. But etrailer hooked me up. The racks did take me a while to put on, but most of that time was fine tuning to reduce “hum” while driving. I’m very happy with them. Thanks to etrailer, I have gone surfing and can go surfing whenever I'd like to.

Worked great on my 2025 4-Runner. I used my old 65.5 inch Thule square bars. I fitted my old Thule hulivator on the rig and it worked great.

Fairly simple installation. Well-made. I have a 2018 Toyota Rav 4, so I was looking for something that was strong but lightweight.

It was super hard to put on. If it would not have been for a video I found I would not have gotten it done and returned it. It works well once installed but, irritating to get on the car

Really nice quality items, go together easily. My only beef is the fit of this model for the 2016 RAV4. As the front of the factory bars curve outwards, you have to slide the front wingbar backwards quite a bit to allow it to mount. It doesn't seem to be a problem for my use (kayak carrier), but it's worth noting.

Easy install and look great on our new RAV4. Feel very secure.

The Rhino Rack HD crossbar kit for tracks fits my SyneticUSA Pro retractable cover perfectly. RR includes several track nuts of different sizes to match to your particular track. I love the quick detach capability of the towers and that they also lock for security. The HD bars are essentially the same dimension of 1 5/8" unistrut/superstrut so you can find all sorts of attachment hardware outside of what RR makes. This makes it easy to securely bolt your gear down to the cross bars and customize with easy to find hardware at your local home depot. The 65" HD bars are perfect for a mid size truck like my Tacoma.

The rack more than exceeded my expectations. It was easy to assemble and mount on the cap of my Tacoma truck. I was pleasantly surprised by the aerodynamics which virtually eliminate wind noise, even at highway speed. I pirchased the rack as a permanent mount for a 4rod flyrod holder which I use daily for fishing. The Rhino keeps everything “tight and right”. It has worked perfectly for nearly three hundred trips and over 15,000 miles this year.
