Rola Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
Decent 4-bike rack for the price. Stable side-to-side with the screw-in hitch pin (2 inch receiver version). Gets some fore-aft rocking over bumps at speed (inherent to the tilting design). Bikes need bungee cords to keep them from swinging (typical for this style of rack). I used this with two bikes, and really struggle to see how four full-size bikes could be added. Maybe if seats were removed? I added bumpers and some padding for the vertical post, and will probably relocate the retainer pin lanyard so the rack can be completely collapsed for storage. A few design improvements for 5 star rating would be: 1 - Add some bumpers for the fully lowered position, 2 -Add some padding on the vertical post for bike contact or accidental vehicle hatch lifting when in the raised position, 3 - Mount the retainer pin lanyard to one of the through-bolts or move the lanyard hole - collapsing this rack chews up the retaining lanyard. etrailer.com service was great - well packaged, and quickly shipped!
Excellent service and fast shipping by etrailer. Bike rack itself was easy to put together and install. It came in with a few scratches. It works well with large bikes. Slight problems started with the smaller bikes. The rack's arms are wide enough to accommodate the bikes, but the slides are not designed for smaller frames. If you have smaller bikes you might have to purchase the bike frame adapter bar for each bike. It's not a huge problem for us since the kids are growing up fast and soon they will have to graduate to the large frame bikes. In the mean time I will have to use extra straps to hold them together.

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
Assembly was not as difficult as I expected. After watching some videos, the instructions do make sense. I also used the box with some of the foam packing to support the frame because, as suggested, it easier to put together"upside down". Once it's together it seems very solid and well made. Installing on my 2017 Hyundai Tucson Eco was simple and easy to do. Putting the bike on the rack was even easier and will make impromptu bike rides no problem when I'm by myself. In the pictures the bike was on the outside rack because I was demonstrating it to my friend who thankfully assisted me with the hitch installation.
Fantastic bike rack. Switch it between a Honda Ridgeline and a Subaru Outback Wilderness and it works perfectly. Accidentally lost the locking pin that secures the rack to the trailer hitch and when I inquired with Kurt about ordering a replacement lock keyed to match the locking cables on the rack and the Kuat rep sent one to me for free. (I removed the rack and left the lock sitting on my car bumper. Later that day I drove off and lost the lock on the highway).

Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gray
After doing extensive research before buying my first ever bike rack, I chose the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 platform rack. I considered trunk mounted, hanging and platform racks before settling on a platform rack. I like the stability, the ease of loading and unloading and very importantly, the absence of contact with the frame of my bike. My bike has a beautiful paint job that I want to preserve. I looked at lots of racks online and at a bike shop and opted for the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 because of the excellent engineering, including the design of the packaging that becomes a work bench for assembling the rack, the relatively light weight (32 pounds), the inclusion of a hitch lock and a bike lock, the stability of the platform, even with a 1.25" connection and a class I hitch, and the ease of operation. Additionally, the overall appearance of the rack suggests high quality. Time will tell how well it ages but I'm pretty confident that I'll be pleased with it. I was very fortunate to find a used, like new Kuat via Etrailer at a meaningful discount that still qualified for the manufacturer's warranty! Thank you Etrailer! A tip to pass along that was shared with me, U-Haul is an excellent source for buying and installing hitches to accommodate bike racks - very attractive pricing, high quality installation and a super unlimited lifetime warranty. Can't wait for Spring and the chance to transport my bike to inviting riding venues!! PS The hitch and bike rack work very well with my 2011 Honda Accord Coupe, EXL V6 model that remains in excellent condition.
I’ve had the Kuat Sherpa for about a year now and could not be more happy with this bike rack. When not in use I keep it safely in the garage- it only takes a few minutes to install it to my Honda Civic and safely secure two bikes using its exquisitely engineered and designed system. I’ve used this for 900+ mile trips with no issues whatsoever - the perfect bike rack!

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Excellent, well-made carrier. I bought it for my current ("urban") bikes with an eye toward the future for e-bikes (I'm currently 77 years old). I really like the easy fold-up capability as the carrier is on my vehicle almost all year and I like to make the profile as compact as possible when no bikes are on it. One thing to note is Part A came with a slight bend on the end, and I thought it was damaged. After bringing this to etrailer's attention, they assured me that it was not damaged and was an intentional bend. I also like the red reflector on the end, very nice touch!

Malone Runway HM2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
400 miles and held up well. $1500 worth of bikes, so I stopped a few times to make sure everything was holding up. It did well! You can decide which way to put the “hooks” that go over the frame onto the rack when you assemble it. This will eliminate the problem of not being able to secure both bikes if one frame is lower. It’s also heavy as heck (with the bikes on it) to tilt to access the cargo in the hatch. For me, I can handle it...for my wife, not so much. Don’t plan on getting to the cargo unless you are strong and have a good back.
The swing arm came with the predrilled holes for the lock pin off by about half an inch, so I had to drill new holes. Even then, the hole for the pivot point also seems slightly off. Once I got new holes drilled, it holds on nice and sturdy and doesn't knock about while driving. The locking mechanism, while clever, seems flimsy. Might just be for preventing crimes of convenience.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?
Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Just got my bike rack. Assembly was ok, but not as clear as it could be. I am very impressed with the build quality of this rack. Pictures cannot show how heavy duty it is. Looking forward to a lot of rides with my Chinook!
Works great. We moved to Tucson and bring the bikes to the loop trail.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.
This is definitely more of a 2 bike carrier vs 3 bikes. I had to take the front wheels off two bikes to get three bikes on this carrier. Also, it rubbed the paint off on the trunk of my Subaru legacy.

Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I'm not a serious biker, so this is perfect for my use. easy to put on and take off my vehicle.
This is by far the best bike rack I have ever owned. I have never felt so secure driving with my bikes on the back of my vehicle. Because of the wheel wells and slide down onto the frame locks, the bikes don't move at all. And because they don't move the bikes don't get scratched from rubbing or hitting against one another even when you driving on rough roads. Well worth the money!

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Review of the Yakima Fullback 3 bike rack. Wanted a trunk mounted, non-hitch rack for a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. Internet search led to the etrailer.com website. The website showed trunk mounted, non hitch options for a 2016 Tucson. Although at most 2 bikes would be carried at any one time in my situation, I am 6’ 5” and have an extra bike frame and larger diameter wheels. Selected the Fullback versus the Halfback thinking it might be a bit stronger (90 pound versus 60 pound capacity) even though my bike is light. Also the Fullback includes security locks. The videos showing installation, removal, on road stability and user tips are excellent, thorough and informative. Watched them a few times before ordering. Shipment arrived quickly. Actual installation experience did not have suprises. Two configuration steps ...determining appropriate hub setting for a particular vehicle (“5” for a 2016 Tucson) was easily found on the website and the possible requirement to convert the lower attachments to anchor configuration (needed for some vehicles such as the Tucson) was indicated on the website and the how to steps were shown on the video. Good idea to watch the video a few times to become familiar with the process before opening the box. The included paper instructions were clear and understandable. The pass through security cable does not thread though the top of the Tucson top hinge area. Rather, let it be captured on a side of the tailgate as it closes. Purchased a few Velcro straps to hold excess length straps rather than using the provided rubber bands. Minor issues. The unit is solid, well built and holds a bike steady on the highway. Recommended product.
This rack was one of the very few that I could find that was verified to fit my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Great service from etrailer, ordered on a Tuesday morning, got an email later that evening saying that it had shipped, and received it on Thursday! Very sturdy and solid and holds bikes steady. Easy to set up. I like their ratcheting clamp system for holding the bikes to the rack. Much quicker than tightening a bunch of straps. Purchased the optional glass anchors to use on the bottom as the Yakima fit guide said the bottom hooks had to be used in the anchor mode and I didn't like the way they looked against the interior plastic panels of the hatch. Two negatives, the reason for only 4 stars; the cable to lock the bikes to the rack will only reach the third bike. This was not very clear in the product description. If you carry less than that, it won't reach the bike in the middle position. Yakima offers an optional longer cable and they should include it to begin with, some people won't always carry three bikes all the time. I positioned the rack as indicated by the fit guide and the rack blocks the top center stop light, but the other lights can be seen OK through the spokes of the bikes. This rack was a little more expensive than some I looked at, but you get what you pay for, and I think this rack will serve my needs well.

How it attaches to the bike rack is really only going to be one point of contact with the bike's frame and that's going to be this frame hook up at the top here which is nice and padded to ensure that your bike itself does not get scratched. It also has 2 wheel cradles on either side to hold the wheels in place. You can purchase straps if you need to to strap down the wheels, but they do not come with the bike rack itself. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. To do that you just push the button on the side here of the hook, like so, lift up always holding onto the bike to make sure it doesn't fall forward into the vehicle.

What our customers are saying:
"A couple months ago, I ordered a hitch & bike rack for my new 2005 Saturn VUE. Everything about the order was fast and easy. When my father bought a 2006 VUE, he wanted the same hitch, but it was not listed on the site. I contacted customer service and quickly received a response informing me that they were waiting for details on the new model. The next day I had another email saying it was available, less than an hour later, my order was placed and I had a "shipped" email. Outstanding service!"
