Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2015 Mazda CX-5

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5 we'll be test fitting the Yakuma Fat Cat Six locking rooftop ski and snowboard carrier with a six ski or four board capacity, part number Y03088. With the Yakuma Q Towers roof rack system installed onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front part of the carrier onto our front bar. We'll push in the button and open the jaws and bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the bar and hook them into the connection point. You may need to tighten or loosen the little red knob on the inside of the bracket to adjust the strap. We'll then clamp the connection piece down and on the inside of the carrier we'll tighten down the black level and clamp it down to secure the connection piece in place. We'll then repeat the same process for the other side. With the front part of the carrier installed we'll go ahead and repeat the same exact installation process for the back part of the carrier. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our gear. We'll need to push in the large black oversized buttons at the end of the carrier to open up the jaws.
