This is a really good rack. We do a lot of car camping out of our Subaru Outback and I wanted a bike rack that would swing aside so we can raise the hatchback and easily access the camping gear, cooler, duffel bags, etc that we carry in back (see photo). This rack 100% solves that problem. Further, the bike hold-downs are very secure. I use them on their own for shorter trips. For a longer trip or one that may involve a rough road, I supplement them with a ratchet strap, but this is probably just unnecessary paranoia--the hold-downs are excellent. My one heads-up about this rack is that it is heavy. I am a large, strong man and can attach it myself, but I do not look forward to the chore. This is a beefy rack and the weight is unavoidable. I welcome how sturdily-built the rack is. We typically carry my normal bike and my wife's heavy e-bike on it, and the rack is totally up to the job. Highly recommended. I have zero regrets about the purchase and the investment in this rack that will serve us for many years to come. The design is pretty much perfect--I can't think of one thing I would change.

The best rack I have owned . It came in two boxes and bubble wrapped. It is very easy to put together, took more time to open the boxes and take off the bubble wrap. Than to put it together . I forgot about the price and shipping, price is the lowest and the shipping was free and fast .

SportRack Ridge Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Swing Away
Instructions are horrible. Should be a simple assemble but its not. Product appears to be solid and is currently working as advertised. Wish it didn't have a bolt connection to hitch so I could you use my locking hitch pin. Clearance for Jeep spare tire is an issue when rack is folded down. When up holding bikes not an issue, unless I get bigger tires

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

Malone Runway Spare Tire Bike Rack for 3 Bikes - Adjustable Arms
CHECK THE WEIGHT CAPACITY!! It is designed for ultra-lightweight bikes, although it does not state that on the box or in the product description. The capacity is 33 lbs per bike, whereas most adult bikes are 40+ lbs and children's bikes are around 30 lbs. We loaded this rack with two adult bikes and a child's bike (unaware of the unusually low weight capacity) and the bikes fell off the back of our jeep onto the highway! My husband had to pick them up off the interstate before anyone hit them, risking his own safety. I contacted the company, telling them what happened, and they advised that since one of our bikes was 42 lbs, they would not return the rack (which I had only purchased 2 weeks prior.) I am grateful my husband didn't get hurt, but felt compelled to let others know. The company really should note this on the box or consider re-designing the bike rack to hold bikes of typical weight.
The bike rack arrived quickly. It was missing a wrench. We read the directions but found a video that was very helpful to us in setting the rack in place.

Yakima FullSwing Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Swing Away
Installation today was pretty straight forward. We had no problems. It may require two people to install the bike rack onto the hitch because it is pretty heavy. But, as a 41 yo woman I was able to attach the bike rack to the hitch by myself. We haven't used it yet to transport our bikes, but I imagine that will be seamless too.
I bought this hitch carrier to bring 4 bikes on a 1200 mile round trip for a 2 week vacation. I used to spend more to rent bikes than the cost of the hitch. I purchased this during a Labor Day sale last year thinking if I used it once it would pay for itself. I spent the xtra $$ on the swing feature and am glad I did as it allowed me to load bikes whenever I needed and get to the rear of our SUV at any time. Works flawlessly! I have a THULE roof carrier (love it) but when I went to Dicks to check out the THULE ‘s securing rubber ties, I realized they were pretty hard to secure whereas the Yakima zip ties are easy. Hitch lock was easy and built in bike lock made made everything secure. Would buy again, recommend to anyone!

Excellent product, excellent customer service, fast delivery. I ordered this bike rack for my Jeep with an oversized spare tire. After discussing it and getting help from someone on the phone reference and extension for the rack to go past the tire I got the product number and ordered at 5pm. To my very big surprise I found out via e-mail that the product had been shipped at 8pm three hours later the same day. Amazing! I think it was 3-4 days later the bike rack arrived. Fantastic bike rack. Switch it between a Honda Ridgeline and a Subaru Outback Wilderness and it works perfectly. Accidentally lost the locking pin that secures the rack to the trailer hitch and when I inquired with Kurt about ordering a replacement lock keyed to match the locking cables on the rack and the Kuat rep sent one to me for free. (I removed the rack and left the lock sitting on my car bumper. Later that day I drove off and lost the lock on the highway).

Hi This is an Excellent Bike Rack, It came in no time, Nicely Plastic Wrapped incase of Rain, The Instructions were an Easy Read. I Installed it on my 2001 Honda CRV which was a Breeze, I do think that People Who are too week to lift a Tire shouldnt attempt this alone Though. When You install it you have one hand to hold the tire and one to Screw in your bolts. It does require Strength and Dexterity, and we who ride Bikes already Have that I would Think. Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
Great rack. I got a used unit from etrailer that was in like-new condition except for the packaging. It’s heavy-ish but manageable. The only issue is that the hitch tite insert will slide into the rack if you don’t keep it level when lifting into the hitch receiver. I’m using the freedom 4 on my Lexus GX 460, which has a swing out lift gate. Access is minimal with the rack level and the bike in place. It opens about 75% of the way with the bike removed and the rack level. I haven’t actually need to use the tilt function, but it’s nice to have in case need full access is ever needed.
WOW WOW WOW That is what I just kept saying after installing this Saris bike rack. I have been looking for a bike rack for almost 3-4 months now. Thule and Yakima didn't have what I was looking for. Their solution for a 4-5 bike rack is too complicated, not efficient, and it would be a nightmare to manage on a regular basis. So I couldn't get myself to pull a trigger on any of those and I kept searching. Finally, I came to eTrailer and found out about Saris. That is where the love starts :) We are a family of 5 (3 kids and 2 grown-ups). I needed something that will help me load bikes fast, unload them and still be able to have access to the back of my Toyota Sequoia. Saris delivered in every way. Assemble of the item is straight forward. Instructions are clear and to the point. They even give you a yellow strip that helps you mark where the hitch needs to be in order to align hole openings for easier installation after you install it the first time ;) The back-up camera is still usable but not 100%. Tilting down the rack with the bikes on it is simple as 1-2-3. There is plenty of room left between the trunk door and the bike as you can see on the pictures. One HUGE benefit is that you do not need any extra parts for kids bikes. Not like with other brands. Saris delivers tremendously on this part too. No shaking, rattling, or anything that would make you notice that you have this amazing product on the back of your SUV/truck. I can't recommend it more. I am just surprised that this product has not been more advertised and represented compared to other products.

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I ordered this bike rack to hold two electric bikes. I was very impressed with the speed of delivery despite the COVID-19 pandemic. This bike rack is extremely well build and will no doubt hold the two bikes. I have not tried it yet as I have not yet received the bikes, but I am not concerned a bit. The rack included a lock for the hitch pin as well as a cable lock for the bikes. If you are looking for a heavy duty rack to hold your electric bike, look no further.

We got a strap in the back lower right here securing it onto the platform. Then on front, we're going to have this wheel hook putting downward force on top of our front wheel forcing it down into the cradle.Removing it is very easy.

Kuat definitely took their time and paid attention to all of the little, all the little details when they we're making this.We're going to start with the bike itself, which is held in by two different points of contact. We have strap in the back wheels securing it down onto the platform. And we also have a hook on the front that's putting downward force on top of the bike forcing it down into this wheel tray. What's nice about those points of contact is there's no frame contact here at all.

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be doing a test-fit of the Yakima SpareRide 2 - Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02599. We've already got it loaded up on our Jeep just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like. It secures our bike in three spots. We have two zip strips for our top two tube here and then one zip strip for our down tube. The one for our down tube is going to be our anti-sway. That's going to help prevent a lot of the sway and movement in the bike from side-to-side as well as prevent bike to vehicle contact and bike to bike contact. We'll go ahead and remove those and then take off our bike. They're really easy to use.
Is the Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 4 Bikes Compatible with the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
Today on this 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test-fitting the Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack, part number S63380. As you can see, we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have four points of contact with our bike's frame. We're going to have three straps up top here and one off to the side which is going to be an anti-sway strap to keep it from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Now it's always a good habit to go ahead and put the straps back into place once you're done just so you don't lose them while you're driving. With that done, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. The first one is how much distance is added to the vehicle once your bike rack is installed. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the tire here, since that's the furthest point out.

Fit Verified: Inno Fork Lock III Roof Bike Rack on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Fork Lock III. This is going to be your roof rack mounted bike carrier. It's going to be the fork style, part number INA391. We're going to put it up on our roof rail system so you can see what it looks like and it will fit with most of your either factory roof rail systems, your aero type bars, round bars, square bars. Let's go ahead and put it into place. One thing I'm going to point out before we get it up here is that everything is going to be secured with this rack as far as everything from your foot pad that it connects to the bar to even your skewer handle and locking mechanism here. Go ahead and unlock that top piece and pull that cover back.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Today, on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex. This is going to be your hanging style 4-bike rack, and as you can see we've already got it up here on our vehicle, fitted with a bike on it, so you can see how it'll look and fit before we go through all the measurement. Our measurement we're going to give is going to be from the back of the bumper to the beginning of the rack because depending on what kind of spare tire you have and/or what kind of receiver hitch you have will determine how far it's going to sit away from the vehicle. With this particular receiver hitch that sits out, the receiver sits out 4-3/4 inches, so from that receiver . we'll just do from the center of the pin hole back, it's going to be about 6-1/2 inches. From the center of the pin hole and back, 6-1/2 to here. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle with the cradle arms out is going to be about 41-1/2 inches, with a rear ground clearance of about 17-3/4 inches. All right.

One of the first things that we are going to talk about is how we have our bike up here and strapped in. As you can see we have it up here so you can see what it looks like and how it fits on the vehicle before we go into all the measurements. Our first measurement is going to be our closest distance first. Our receiver here does come out from the bumper about 4 1/2 inches now depending on if you have this style or you have the flush mount my vary the closest distance. Also if you have a stock tire instead of your off road tire that would make a difference as well. So what we are going to do is we are going to give you the closest distance from the center of the pin to the T handle here.

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Ridge 5. It's gonna be your hanging style 5-bike rack; PAR number SR2405. This is gonna be you're tilting style. It's gonna come with a 2 inch shank for your 2 inch hitches only, and as you can see we've already got a bike up here installed and in place so that you can see what it's going to look like, and how it's gonna fit before we go through all the measurements. Our first measurement we're gonna give, is gonna be our closest distance first. But the thing to note with this is it does have 2 different threaded holes, so this is gonna be the furthest in that it can be. There is another one that's gonna give you the ability to let it sit out a little bit further.

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Curt Premium Four, this is going to be your hanging style, four bike rack. It's very unique because it gives you the option of carrying two of your adult bikes and two of your children's bikes on the back without having to adjust the cradle arms. It is going to be tilting and it is also going to be for your two inch receiver's only. It's going to be part number C18064 and as you can see, we do have one of our adult bikes up here today. Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Spare Me 2. This is going to be your hanging style 2 bike rack that's going to be mounted to your spare tire bracket. As you can see we've already got this one up here on our vehicle and loaded. It's going to be part number TH963PRO. We're going to go over a couple of things real quick before we show you how this comes off and goes together. First thing we're going to go over is the distance that sticks out from the back of the vehicle when the cradle arms are extended and your bike is on it. It looks like it's going to be about 22 1/2 inches that extends off the back in the vehicle with the ground clearance of 26 1/2 inches.
Saris Freedom Spare Tire Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Hollywood Racks SR2 Spare Tire Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks SR2 2 bike carrier. This would be your carrier for your spare tire mount. It's going to be part #HRSR2. As you can see, we do have it mounted up here on our vehicle attached to the spare tire and we already have our bike mounted on here so you can see how it looks and fits. We're going to get a couple measurements out of the way first and that's going to be what is the distance with the cradle arms extended that extends off the end of the vehicle as well as the ground clearance from the bottom side. To answer that question it's going to be about 21-1/2" that it extends off the end of the vehicle.
