Best 2015 Honda Pilot Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

At 68 yrs old, just single-handedly installed the 50 pound Curt hitch receiver on my 2016 Honda Pilot, using two jack stands and the vehicle's car-jack to position it correctly and hand thread the 6 bolts. Made a bit more room for myself by first lifting the back of the vehicle onto a makeshift ramp consisting of two layered 2x6 board. Also first tried to hand tighten the bolts before placing the hitch under the car and found I had a fair bit of rust to work through with rust blaster and wire brush. Instructions were clear and accurate. One tip, do the center bold on the muffler side first (to be able to slide the unit between the muffler and the frame, then the center bolt on the driver's side second. From there, it is a breeze. Took me an hour to get rid of the rust inside the welded bolts, and then an hour to install the hitch.

Great product. The only thing and maybe I didn’t read you need a 1” shank ball. hole is big can’t use standard 7/8” shank ball. I’m just going to order a ball and keep hitch. Like I said maybe I didn’t read. If not they need to put in description.

Thus is a good quality ball mount. We have utilized in a 2017 Honda Pilot with an etrailer hitch. It has primarily been used for a bike rack. But no doubt it would work for any trailer that its mounted to. etrailer had the best deals that in found online. I would order from them again.

2012 Honda Pilot wiring harness 118265. Ordered harness for my Honda Pilot on Monday and received on Thurs!! All parts were in excellent condition on arrival from UPS. I had already read many of the reviews and tips for this harness and that made installation very easy. All the connections went together quickly and easily with no problems. Went to Lowe's and bought 1/4"-20x - 1" stainless bolts and lock nuts as previous installers had said they used. From start to finish took about 1 hr!! I used dielectric grease as stated from installers on connections under bumper exposed to any water. Excellent product and service from etrailer is always superb. I would highly recommend this connector for anybody needing to put 7pole outlet on 2012 Honda Pilot.

The product is good but a bit tideous and after installing it my bracket fell and it was a pain to get replace it support made me buy the replacement pieces and the bracket didnt come with just the bolts, and at the end they told i have i had to buy the whole unit because based on their system my truck didnt have issues with installement and the manufacturer didnt supply that bracket cause it special order so in general i dont recommend in my choice better to get it welded.

We sold our small motor home and purchased a small travel trailer. This hitch provided a perfect solution to how to use our bike rack while towing the trailer. It even allows room for the pickup tailgate to be lowered without removing the bikes from the rack. I ordered and received the ball mount and sway bar together. They were received very promptly and in excellent shape. They are very heavy, i.e., heavy duty. The bracket that was fitted to the trailer was about half a screw wider than optimal size for my smallish trailer but did fit. Installation was easy. The self-tapping screws functioned well. All-in-all, a 10 out of 10 experience.

My order was missing installation parts, but the etrailer team were quick to correct the issue. Even without a lift, I was able to install the receiver and brake light cable quickly, thanks to their extensive video libray.

Installation instructions came with the hitch and were clear and easy to figure out. Easy installation, the wiring harness had vehicle specific instructions as well and was easy to install, and everything worked as designed when I tested it. I will buy from eTrailer again!

I bought the 1 7/8 and 2 inch combo so that switching between the two is as easy as pulling a pin. However, I didn't realize that I had to install the ball. I had to find someone with a wrench and torque wrench big enough to do it. Otherwise, excellent quality as usual from E-Trailer.

Easy to install and they feel really sturdy. Definitely recommend buying them with the carrying case as it makes them super convenient and easy to stow away when not in use.

Fits our VW Touareg perfectly and allows us to tow a variety of things now. As can be seen in the pictures the hitch has a +5-inch gap between the bumper and the vertical adjustment pillar and the trailer itself is out further so there's enough room to get to the rear hatch and maneuver the vehicle/trailer.

I needed a hitch that I could haul my work trailer with and still drop the tailgate without dropping the trailer. I looked on etrailer and found one that would work barely but decided to call etrailer and see if anyone had any ideas. Steve answered and looked after I told him my requirements and came up with this. This has a longer distance from ball to pin by a few inches compared to the one I found so my tailgate will still drop even if I’m at an angle to my trailer or on a hill. Also with the adjustable height it’s great. Awesome hitch. Solid for a good price. ??

This has been one of the best hitches that I have owned. It is adjustable to change between my Jeep Wrangler and my Ford F-150 Limited. Both have different tow heights and tow needs based on trailer type and payload capacity. This hitch has worked great for those purposes!

Nice solid (not hollow) and WELDED hitch. Have logged about 5,000 miles this year with no problems. I had many problems with bolted on balls, welded hitches are the way to go.
