Hey everyone, I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the transport wheels for our Thule Verse Bike Rack. This is gonna be an add-on to your rack to make it a lot easier to transport it when you're taking it off of your vehicle, and you store it in your garage, or in your shed. Now, the installation is really complicated, so look closely. You get your wheels, and you just slide it into the bike rack, just like that. You are now ready to take your bike rack off and wheel it around your garage.
And, if you need to store this on your rack, because you are not ready to go drive, you just take it out, put it in reverse, slide it right in from the other side, (tool clacking) and that clicks into place. It's secure, you are ready to drive. So, in all reality, not a very complicated installation whatsoever. It instantly latches into place when you slide it in, but, to remove it, you have this button on this rack, you just press to release. So we're gonna move this back on over to the roll side.
So you can see how that fits right in there. (tool clicking) It clicks. Let's take the rack off. Now I've worked with tons and tons of bike racks, and my least favorite part about that is hoisting the bike rack around, because they can get pretty heavy, especially once they have all those different features. So this is what it looks like now that you have your transport wheels.
While you still have to lift your bike rack up and down into the hitch receiver, once you have it down, it's now a lot easier to just roll around to wherever you need to go. Just make sure you dodge around your vehicle and your garage, and this helps with that by having a really easy pivot design. And for those who don't have a special setup for their bike rack in their garage, the transport wheels can stay on the rack. They work pretty much like a stand, where this is now balanced on its shank as well as those wheels. This is sitting upright, and you're much less likely to be tripping over your bike rack, as you're grabbing anything from your garage.
These wheels are really straightforward. It's nice that they're easy to add onto the bike rack, and they're just one of the many add-ons you can get for your Thule Verse Bike Rack. Now this will work with both versions of your bike rack, with two platforms, as well as your four platform rack. So that's definitely gonna be something that having these wheels will help a lot with, because that's gonna be a lot heavier than the almost 60 pounds that the two platform one is. Just remember to switch this around whenever you are ready to load up your bikes or to drive. Everything is so streamlined, clicks right in, and makes for a really secure fit.
