Connecting your tow bar doesn’t get much easier. Each arm slides into the receiver and locks with a simple twist, then secures with a pin. When you’re done towing, just pull the pin, rotate, and remove the arms. It’s straightforward and repeatable every time, even if you’re hooking up alone or in tight spaces.
This setup bolts directly to your chassis with no welding required. The durable steel construction is powder coated to resist rust and corrosion, and its design spreads towing forces evenly across mounting points to help reduce stress on your suspension. If you already own a tow bar, there’s no need to start from scratch. This base plate pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure connection. It’s also adaptable for Roadmaster tow bars using adapter # RM-031 or # RM-031-5 (sold separately) and for Demco tow bars with adapter # DM9523041 (sold separately). Integrated mounting points make it easy to attach an electrical connector bracket so your wiring stays clean and organized.
You don’t need welding equipment or special tools to get this installed. The base plate bolts securely to your chassis with the included mounting hardware. Its been two years since installation of the Blue Ox Baseplate. Since then, Ive flat towed the CRV from NJ to FL and back three separate times with many other shorter trips in between. Paired with a Blue Ox Tow Bar, the system has worked flawlessly since installation.
