Getting the right height between your truck and trailer makes a big difference in how stable the load feels. This adjustable mount gives you a maximum 5-1/4" drop and 4-1/4" rise, so you can tune your setup for level towing no matter what you’re pulling. The platform slides within the heavy 5/16" thick channel and locks in place with the included pins and clips, keeping your trailer level and your ride steady.

When you’re hauling something big—boats, campers, or equipment—you want gear that’s up to the job. This mount is rated for 12,000 lbs when using the 2" ball and up to 22,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball. The solid steel construction, welded gusset plate, and thick channel frame make it ready for heavy loads without flexing or bending under pressure.

Towing gear takes a beating from weather and road grime, but this mount is built to hold up. It’s made from solid steel with CNC-chamfered edges that help it slide smoothly into the receiver without damaging the finish. The matte black powder coat looks clean and resists corrosion, while a nickel undercoat and zinc topcoat on the pins give extra protection against rust after long use.

If you tow more than one trailer, this setup saves time and hassle. The welded 2" and 2-5/16" balls are mounted on the same platform, so switching between coupler sizes is simple—just remove the pins, flip the platform, and lock it back in place. No extra tools or hardware needed, just quick adjustments to match whatever you’re hauling next.

This mount also fits a range of add-ons when you need more function out of your hitch setup. You can pair it with a weight distribution shank (part #358WEIGHTDIST), attach a clevis or shackle for recovery work, or add a hitch step (part #358STEP) for easier bed access. It’s a solid base that can adapt as your towing needs change.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Bulletproof Hitches heavy-duty, adjustable two-ball mount for a three-inch hitch with a drop and a rise. Has a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this two-ball mount will slide into a three-inch hitch receiver and it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Up front, you have your two different size hitch balls, which will provide the connection point for your trailer coupler.
Those two different size hitch balls are either a 2 5/16 diameter, or if you flip it over, the smaller two-inch diameter. And these will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. And to switch the ball around, you just simply remove the two pins on here, flip the ball platform and then reinsert the pins. Pretty simple to do. Just to show you, we're gonna do it here.
Pull out the clips. Go ahead and pull out the bottom pin. Pull out the top pin. And I also wanna show you the pins they use, they're a 5/8 inch diameter corrosion-resistant, hardened steel pin. Features a nickel undercoat and then a zinc plating top coat.
Gives you the best corrosion resistance and it comes with two of those. So, right now, all we have to do is flip this over and get the smaller two-inch ball. And again, you can put it in whatever height you need. I'm just gonna go back to what I had it in. Put our pin through.
Put our pin through there. Take our clips. Slide the clips into place. And now, you're all ready to go with the smaller two-inch ball. So, it's pretty simple to flip the ball around to get the correct ball size you need. The adjustable design on this provides a nice drop or rise. Allows you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. So, this would work well with contractors where they might wanna install on one truck and then use that one truck for different size trailers. Now, this is in the drop position showing here. If we put this ball platform in the lowest position, it'll get you a maximum drop of about 5 1/4 inches. If we flip this over into the rise position and then put the ball platform in the highest position, it'll get you a maximum rise of about 4 1/4 inches. Does give you three levels of adjustment. Their measurements between these adjustment holes, center to center is two inches. So, basically, you can move this ball platform lower or raise it higher to match your application. This is a nice, heavy-duty steel construction. It is precision CNC milled and drilled, so that'll give you less rattle because of the close tolerances. They do use a 5/16 thick channel frame, which is very strong and durable. And if you notice down here, they use a half inch thick welded gusset plate here, which will brace the shank and the channel. And then the hitch balls are all welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. Now, because of that solid shank, the gusset plate, and that solid dual ball platform, this is built for heavy-duty towing. That steel gusset, which is welded between the shank and the channel, it'll brace the mount, keep that channel from bending even at maximum drop or rise. Total weight on this ball mount is about 54 pounds. One thing I do wanna mention when you do go and install this into your hitch, you do wanna check for clearance with this extra gusset down here. So, the measurement from this gusset to the first set, or first hitch pin hole center is gonna be about 4 1/2 inches. From this gusset it to the second hitch pin hole is about six inches. And this ball mount does have many different dimensions to it, so I do recommend for you to go to the product page of this part number. And on that product page, we'll have a diagram with all the dimensions on this. So, you can look at it and verify any dimensions that might be needed for your application. This part is made in the USA with USA steel. This product is used by the US Military, so it does give you peace of mind that the product uses quality material. This hitch also has a nice powder coat finish on it. It's a textured, heavy-duty black finish. And that heavy-duty finish keeps your ball mount looking like new instead of all worn and rusty after a short use. Now, to install this, when you install this into your hitch receiver, it will require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for securing it to the receiver. Those items are not included. You would have to supply those or we do sell those separately on our website. Application, again, this fits a three-inch by three-inch trailer receiver. So, this is ideal for vehicles with a 12 inch to 18 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube. Gross towing weight capacity on this ball mount will depend on the ball size you use. So, if you use the smaller two-inch diameter balls, 12,000 pounds. If you use the larger 2 5/16 diameter ball, be 22,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity will be 3,000 pounds. Now also, there are a variety of attachments that are available for this ball mount to allow you to use this ball mount as a pintle hitch, a shackle hitch, a hitch step. Basically, you can remove the ball mount and then in this channel, put those different items. Those items are listed on this product page as a related product. But that should do it for the review on this Bulletproof Hitches heavy-duty, adjustable two-ball mount for three-inch hitch with a drop and a rise, and a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity..

It has worked out great. I have used it extensively on 5 different trailers with our 6 lifted truck. Not only has it been extremely versatile but overloaded tongue weights as well.

This is not common as the hitch is covered with a high quality powder coat. If you ever get any paint chips or scratches on this ball mount, we recommend using a rust-oleum type of paint to cover those scratches. That will help with any corrosion as time goes on. I have a link for your reference below.
