Video Transcript for What to Know About the WaterPORT Weekender 2 inch Hitch Mount

Hey everyone, it's Angeline right here at etrailer. Today we have a two-inch hitch mount for your WaterPORT Weekender. There are several ways to carry around your WaterPORT Weekender. A lot of people, when they get this, put it inside their truck bed, in their hatch, or on their platform rack. But for those who are wanting to expand or maybe get a different setup for their journey, this hitch mount is helpful for you. But there are other options as well, whether it's a MOLLE panel holder or put it on your crossbars or install it underneath your ladder rack.

If you're looking to carry around your large Weekender tank and you'd rather have it on your hitch receiver because that's how your vehicle's all set up for adventure, or the best way and easiest way to mount it, well, I'll show you real quick 'cause it is a very quick process, how to get it all installed. To install your hitch mount, it's very simple.

Now, most everything you're gonna need is included from the hardware to an anti-rattle collar. The only things you're gonna need to bring to the table is a 3/16 Allen key, and if you are installing their anti-rattle collar, a 3/4-inch wrench. Ready to go Let's do it. With your hitch mount, take note of where the base is and where the shank is. And then on your Weekender, turn it upside down.

Take notice of where the nozzle is. Nozzle needs to be the same side as the shank as you install it onto the mounting holes in the middle. To go in between the two, you have these rubber-bonded washers. So we're going to put the rubber side on the tank side and then the metal goes on the bracket side. To connect everything, you have these bolts.

So put a split washer or a lock washer on there, and then an oversized washer as well. And then these are going to fit into the hole and we're gonna tighten down by hand, and then use a 3/16 Allen key to tighten them further. Tighten down all eight bolts and I do recommend double checking the lock washers on them, make sure they're flat, which shows that they are tight. Now let's just fit this into our hitch receiver. There's gonna be a hole on the shank and we're gonna want that to line up with the hole in the hitch. Secure this with your hitch pin and your clip. Now, the clip is just a safety clip. There are locking hitch pin options available here at etrailer if you wanna upgrade. There's also an included anti-rattle collar that comes with this mount. But for our vehicle here today, that plate actually did not fit, so we are using the etrailer anti-rattle collar instead. After tightening up that anti-rattle collar, super secure in the hitch receiver, that's gonna be it for the install. From this point onwards, if you needed to take this off, you just take off the hitch pin and clip, loosen that anti-rattle and take this out. Same process for loading it back up onto your hitch. With your new hitch mount bracket, your WaterPORT Weekender tank is now on your vehicle. But today what you saw was the WaterPORT Weekender two-inch hitch mount here at etrailer. (no audio).
