What's up, everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Rhino-Rack Ladder Roller that goes onto your HD bars. They do make them in different sizes so check out which one works the best for you and your roof rack set up. So what this is gonna do is help you load up your ladder instead of putting it up against the bar and shoving it up there, now you have a roller to set it against and then slowly roll it up there. Let's check it out.

It's really simple to use. Just reach up and grab the ladder. And show you, just with one hand, how easy it is. And it rolls back to me. So I can get another hand on it and take it off the roof.

Very simple to do. Actually fits in the channels of the HD bars. So that helps that it's actually attached. So it's not gonna slide side to side on me. As they're gonna push the ladder up, something I would be careful of when you are sliding this up make sure you recognize the length of the item you're putting on there.

Just so you make sure you lower it down on the other bar. You don't wanna let go of it too soon and hit the roof of your truck. Taking a closer look at the roller, it's gonna sit between two brackets. I know I've mentioned before that the brackets fit down in this channel, holding in place. You see I can't move it back and forth as I'm shaking it, so you know it's there and sturdy.

There's another one on the opposite side, the roller itself moves independently, it's got a plastic build to it, so you don't have to worry about it rusting over time or anything. It rolls really smoothly too, that's something I wanted to point out up here when we got it closer look at it. It didn't take much for me to set the ladder on there and actually get it to grip and start rolling. As I mentioned before, these do come in a few different sizes, so check out our website which one's gonna work best for you. This one takes up most of the rail so we can use it to load multiple objects. If we're just gonna put the ladder on one side and we have a conduit box on the other side, we maybe don't want the full roller. We can get one the smaller ones, and just kind of keep it on the driver's side. So that's what we're gonna always load up the ladder or a kayak. We just have a little section of roller. Now, if you don't feel like getting a whole roller put on the roof rack, there is another option from R Rack: the Ladder Slide. So those are more like load slots slash ramps that you can set the ladder on, push it up into place, super helpful, and while we're talking about ladders, they have a bunch of other accessories for load stops. I recommend getting some of those. We're gonna be putting the ladder on there a whole bunch. It would be nice to have either the pegs, the ladder pegs, or just load stops to hold it in place from side to side so it doesn't move while you're going down the road. Overall, I think the roller's pretty helpful versus the ladder slides, those go in a fixed position. So if you're loading that ladder on the same side every time that's great. But if you need help loading something different, maybe something wider than that ladder you'd have to get up there and use tools to spread those out. The roller you get one that's this big or whatever size it's always gonna be there for whatever you're gonna roll up onto the bars, and the heavier the stuff you're gonna put on the roof, The better that is, because it's gonna catch that and roll up way easier than trying to get a bunch of people to help you get it up there and strap it down. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helps..
