Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 4 1/2 inch long, 3/4 inch diameter greasable hinge pin. Now, this part here will let you build your own hinge using this greasable hinge pin. It's great for trailers and agriculture applications. Basically, these hinge pins are welded to either the outer frame or the gate door, and then inserted into the welded hinge pin to create custom heavy-duty hinges.
This one, as you can see on this end, has a grease zerk fitting on it, so it makes it a greasable pin. For lubrication, basically, when this is installed, you can attach your grease gun to it and as you pump grease in it, it'll come out this hole right here to actually lubricate your connection point. Again, we mentioned the outer diameter on this is 3/4 of an inch, total length, 4 1/2 inches long. But that should do it for a look at this 4 1/2 inch long, 3/4 inch diameter greasable hinge pin.

Going to use two of these for a heavy duty swing away tire carrier that I am making for my offroad buggy. I think that it will be plenty strong and like the serviceablity of the zerk.
I used this to repair a Haulmark ramp door hinge that the Haulmark factory had only tack welded to the frame. Welded to the existing door tab and welded the mating sleeve to the trailer frame and I am back in business. Works better than the original for smoothness

I welded each half to a piece of angle iron and bolted one half to the trailer frame and the other half to the ramp. Worked great and the because they are greaseable I think they will work for many years.

The trailer door hinge lock works great. The only complaint I had was the ends don't fit the pipe very snug so i drilled and tapped some holes and added set screws.

Hey there! Other than accidentally welding in the wrong spot one time, these are absolutely the greatest hinges I've ever found, and at a great price. Currently assembling my 5th motorcycle trailer in the last two years, and would recommend these 3 at a time, for strength of ramps for large american bikes, that occasionally weigh as much as 1100 lbs... and have yet to break a hinge, though I did break a weld once (obviously my fault for a junky weld that time).... Great product, great service, quick responses. Thanks for being a great company. Will be ordering again!!!!

One thing for me though....
I had to buy different fenders because I bought better tires and rims for this new axle which turned out to be slightly wider.
So the original fender would have cut into the tires.
I got everything from etrailer. Axle with brakes fully assembled, controller, fenders, wire harness, connections tires, time and more...and couldn't be happier with cust service, pricing and availability.
As advertised. Rec’d quickly and welded on easily. Tip, always go with the model with a grease fitting. My second hand trailer had one with a grease fitting and one without. This one was a replacement for the hinge pin that did not have a fitting and eventually seized.
Perfect to replace the hinges on a carry-on landscape trailer.
George: Sorry it has taken this long to get a review back to you but just finished my project. Converted my 5 x 8 tilt trailer to one with a rear Gate by using your hinges. Worked perfectly.
I ordered my item on April the 9th never received it was tracking the shipment and it came into my city left my city and went back to its original destination when I called E-Trailer they immediately ordered me another one and I had it in two days

This low profile but strong hinge really sets off the crisp oak tailgate for the home rebuilt utility trailer. Coupled with some 2 in angle screwed into 5/4 rough oak, allows right offset to lower hinge body below deck line for welding onto rear box tube. Gate pulls off and leaves nothing protruding for sliding in cargo.
Also, then it leaves a great positive secure engagement point for motorcycle ramp attachment. Sweet product!
Replaced the original hinge pins after they rusted, seized and ripped the hinge out of the door frame. These pins with grease gun fittings should eliminate that problem in the future.
