Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Weld-on Aluminum Hinge. This hinge sits right at five and 15/16ths, just shy of six inches long. We do have the pointed end there, that's going to give us the two flat sides so that we can weld this in place. If we include that pointy end, we're looking at right about one inch overall thickness. If we rotate that point away, we're about three quarters of an inch thick.

And this hinge is gonna provide excellent support along the length of your metal door or gate. This can be used for trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes, machinery doors, and lots of other applications. Because it is a weld-on installation, you are gonna be limited to using this just on metal surfaces, but like I said, you are gonna have those two flat sides on both ends that will make it very easy for you to get this welded on. And being welded on, it is going to ensure a nice strong hold for a heavy duty permanent application. Our two ends here are made of an aluminum construction, so they are gonna be very rust and corrosion resistant.

Our pin here is a half inch or about 13 millimeters in diameter. The pin and the bushing are both a stainless steel construction, so they are also gonna be very corrosion resistant, and that bushing is gonna provide that nice smooth movement for our hinge.
